I’m more alarmed as to who would have sex witha five year old girl… menstruating or not, that’s sick and deplorable and the guy shud behung by his balls… unless he happesn to be a fastly maturing 7 year old

Bottom line:
SHE didn't have a problem with it, and in fact turned out to be a very widely respected and quoted source of Islamic traditions which often dealth with her personal life with the Prophet(pbuh). No manifest problems from what we know.
What's your problem with it if she herself didn't have a problem with it? Honestly, and let us be VERY honest...isn't this more of a case of something that would emarass you in front of your white friends, so you'd rather it not be the case?

The 'age of consent' in many socities was (and still is today) puberty, marriages sometimes occured earlier but they only had sex when both partners had reached puberty...
..I personally agree with this, religion or no religion I don't see it as dirty or pervertised, it's just our society's conditioning (brainwashing) makes us think that a day below 16 and it's wrong, it might be illegal and I wouldn't do it because I don't want to go to prison but it's not morally wrong.
I know I started getting sexual feelings at about 9 (must be an early bloomer) and they were much stringer than they are now..

Bombastic.. getting married at age 7 was quite common for that time period.
It isnt likely to happen these days simply because it would be frowned upon...but it wasnt at that time.
To answer your question..No I would not get my daughter married at the age of 7 but thats only because it isnt accepted in this day in age. Perhaps back than i would be more likely to do so.

Islam does not have an age limit (in terms of years) for marriage....
puberty is to be reached....
adn enuff examples posted above to show that THERE ARE cases where puberty is reached at low ages, so Aishah (ra) cud have very well reached puberty at time of marriage....
and since Islam does not allow marriage otherwise she surely must have reached puberty....
so why is it so difficult to believe that????

Teenager is a human that is =>13 but <=19 years of age. That would make the 7/9 yr old a little kid/child.
I dont think that Mohammad (PBUH) married Ayesha at age 7/9 I read somewhere that she was married at age 14 or 16. either case he was the Messenger of Allah and people listened and obeyed him so even if she was 7/9 and Mohammad wanted her he would have had her.
On the same token Bum-bastic I know you are teenager yourself, but would you marry your sister or your daughter aged 7/9 to a local mullah or your spiritual leader?
