In the recent match against Zimbabwe, Pakistan added 146 in the last 10 overs of the inning. Additionally, the 100 partnership between Afridi and Razzaq only took 41 balls. Are any of these 2 things world record in ODIs? Can anyone please provide some details?
Jayzee,
Whats crackin amigo. I want to see they put on that performance against a side like Australia, South Africa, West Indies or England. Seems like we only see stud performances like these from our young players against Hong Kong, UaE, Bangladesh, Namibia.....
umm... i think the question was, are those world records. probably are. i've never seen anything like that even against the sucky teams.
i know the 146 or whatever they added in the last 10 overs was a world record... i remember the commentator saying it was or i read about it... the hundred partnershhip in 41 balls im not sure about.. whats funny is that afridi had the fastest century and i think it took him only 37 balls or something? thats crazy
Yeah thats quite a record.
Not surprisingly Cr@pinfo did’nt even mention it, instead we heard about the weakness of Pakistan’s openors . If the Indian team did such a thing we could’nt get enough of the speacial coverage. ![]()
yes i think its a world record cuz i remember i read somewhere last year (at that time) the record for most runs in last 10 overs was 128 by India vs Srilanka in the world cup 99 match where India scored 373 batting first if i remember correctly... Anyways, if that was the record then now its the 145 by Pakistan vs Zimbabwe.. Pakistan scored 114 in the last 10 overs vs Australia in 99 WC.. Its not uncommon to see a team scoring 100+ runs in last 10 overs but its not common to see 120+.. I think recently NZ also scored 130+ vs USA in the ICC Championship.. so i guess they broke India's record first before we broke theres..
another wr to pakistan :D
