Its their inferiority complex that doesnt let them see anyone happy.
It's not just our own Paki people, it's everywhere. It isn't a cultural thing, unfortunately, it's a negative human thing.
Allah gives us all feelings, emotions. We all have something positive and negative in our characters, we should try to do the positive things and fight against the negative things. Some don't care, others don't realise how negative they are and then there are the people who are positive or at least try to do positive things in their lives.
It's not cultural, it's universal.

I have seen more desis than anyone putting others down. I think it's not just inferiority complex but also superiority complex that makes them think they are better than others and they think they have a right to say whatever they like. I agree with notorious. that sometimes they dont even know they are doing it but it just makes them feel better.
