Re: Is it a big no-no?
cmon dude. You easily get a maid here to wash/clean the apt/house. As for tiny houses/apts, depends on where you live.
If you're a professional in US, the lifestyle is FAR better than pak. But yeh if you drive a cab or work in a gas station, then might as well stick it out in pak.
I suppose you are right. You can get someone to come once a week to clean your apartment. I guess in smaller towns or suburbs you can get big houses as well.
The difference is that in Pakistan some people have a live in maid and caretaker. Settled people there normally have a maid, a servant, gardener and a driver. They can go out and eat at the finest restaurant every other day. Ladies can go to a beauty parlor every week. Besides cooking a woman there doesn't need to do anything. You don't even need to do your own shopping. Your driver takes you everywhere you want to go. You have teachers coming to your home to give private tuition to children after school. Houses in good areas are well built and designed by interior designers, and cost as much as the houses in the West. For example houses in central Islamabad are worth around $800,000. Very few people can afford that lifestyle in the West.
Re: Is it a big no-no?
it depends whether you are actually going to isloo or going into rural areas surrounding isloo. you will be surprise that they are very energetic. though they may appear as naive in many thing but they are very chawwal. lol
if you are meeting an army babe, i doubt you will find any difference between her and girls in US-UK (i doubt about Canada)
Gems like this bring me back to this place.
Way to go girls!
Re: Is it a big no-no?
@ Arshad: This makes me want to move to Pakistan but it’s no good if you have no monies!
Re: Is it a big no-no?
dinner would be out of the question for most families
some would consider a daytime coffee as a viable option, but only some
this coming from someone who actually lives in pakistan

See here's the thing. The way you're describing it makes the girl sound like a spoilt brat. I want to marry and not adopt nomesayn. I dont want her to sit on her ass all day waiting to be driven around by a chaeffuer to go to a beauty parlor.
I'd actually want her to be strongly independent, have professional ambition and actually even be more successful than i am (career wise). And there are many pakistani girls who I'm sure fit that picture.

I only made those comments in response to yours , about how you can get a maid in U.S, and how you can get big houses in U.S and lifestyle is better than in Pakistan.
I prefer active and down earth people myself.....so good for you...hope you find someone soon.

ok i see where u were going with that. But you are comparing the flithy rich in ISB (high upper class) to probably middle class US. if you compare the same social class, then you'll see my point that US has a FAR better lifestyle.
Anyways, thats not a point to argue for me, just my opinion.

That's easier done and most families would agree if the parents already kinda like one another. Most families would agree

ok. Do you live in ISB or some other area that might be more conservative?

You may remember this discussion started when I wrote that I know some girls that wouldn't want to live in the West. These girls would not get proposals from the very rich in the West, but mostly Middle Class families hence the comparison. Obviously they are a minority.
I agree with your opinion however the well off people have more clout in Pakistan than in the West.
Re: Is it a big no-no?
There are a lot of liberal girls in Lahore, probably more so than in Islamabad.
