Is Islam a followable religion in the modern world.

Re: Is Islam a followable religion in the modern world.

Yes, I do…and there is no real pure capitalist system. The concept of social welfare is deeply entrenched in most nations.

otherwise you would not make such a silly statement as systems are not corrupt.

You fail to understand: the people who operate in ANY system can be corrupt. The Khalifate is no different…what is preventing a Khalifah from emerging as a dictator? Going by MOST of our history, not much.

So please, no utopian dreams. Speak of real problems, and real solutions. Not slogans.

Never mind Bush and Blair, just look around you. Muslims are each others worse enemies. That needs to be fixed before we start picking on anyone else.

Re: Is Islam a followable religion in the modern world.

:konfused: Oh, I don’t know… because it has dominated the world for the last few hundred years and won out over your preferred system? History shows that systems fail… and fail to comeback. They get one shot.

:nono: You can’t re-write history. Bush responded to the battle that was declared by extremists.

Re: Is Islam a followable religion in the modern world.

The two were never really in direct competition, and it could be argued that there is much overlap.

Nope. Democracy came back…

Which in turn was declared because of actions by Bush’s father and those before him. You’re right…you can’t re-write history…:nono:
