if this is true, why is it that sindhis still have a caste system? the caste system in india went unchallenged until the britishers did something about it.

and what is islamic culture? muslims seem to come from all cultures as far as i can tell.

indian subcontinent has close to 50% of its population being muslims, so naturally indian culture has a big portion that is contributed to by muslims.

British actually exploited the caste system to gain power. They gave back the privileges to Brahmans which were taken by Muslim rulers.

Lower class Hindus voluntarily converted to Islam since they saw no discrimination against people based on Caste in Islam.

There are Hinduism supporters who are proud that Caste system survived through Muslim rulers and even the British rulers.

Despite being in minority Brahmans were given the opportunity to be educated or be in power by British.

Before British Raj Brahmans were not so politically powerful despite being religiously considered superior. But this was changed and they allied with British Govt. seeing this as the opportunity to be part of ruling elites.

British maintained the caste system even in army.

There are people like Raj Pundit Sharma of Hindu Council of UK says British ‘created’ the caste system. He based this on the British law on Caste schedule.
