Re: Is India turning fascist under Modi?
You are just clutching on straws here. We are not just talking about ‘votes’ here, we are talking about popular votes to gain power at the highest level. Religious parties had never been voted in power by people of Pakistan, but Modi just did! Before that Shiv Sena and RSS had always existed in Indian political system, so quit making religious parties an exclusively Pakistan issue.
Bhutto is more responsible for cosying up to religious parties for support and alliances purposes than them being too powerful, similar to Modi’s collaboration with Hindutva parties.
But yes, my most fundamental respect for Pakistan Army (not Punjabi Army!) as an institution surpass my political affiliation after a certain point. PTI may not even be there in 10 years time, but Pak Fauj shall be there as long as there is Pakistan.
But truth remains, some people love, enjoy and participate in smear campaign against their own Army based on crass generalisations, but will not shy away from speaking up for India’s honour against same nature of generalisations.
