Pls elaborate how India is getting punished. Last I checked we have made significant positive strides since 1947 in all areas, unlike our western neighbor.

Last I checked, when you look at markers of basic economic well being among the general masses (like childhood malnourishment rates, etc), India trails behind piss poor countries like Ethiopia, Malawi, and Mozambique, not to mention Pakistan.

One thing for sure....India seriously does not have the balls to face pakistan face 2 face....that's why they are supporting terrorism through afghanistan in Pakistan.....

Well if you do care to look at the markers like infant mortality … India is far better then Pakistan … a child has a better chance of survival in Uganada then it has in Pakistan …
A child might go hungry in India … but atleast it has a better chance to survive then in Pakistan …

Sure if you had only looked at the "data" .... Ethiopia, Malawi and Mozambique have infant mortality rate worse then India's ..... Infact in south asia .... Pakistan is only better then Afghanistan in infant mortality !!!!!

At the end of the day, based on UN statistics, average life expectancy is higher in Pakistan than in India, as is access to proper sanitation and drinking water, and childhood immunization rates. Maternal mortality is lower, as is the population ratio under the international poverty line, and child marriage rates. The bottom 20% of Pakistan's population also control a far greater percentage of the national GDP, indicating more equitable wealth distribution.
I can go on...talking about more middle class parameters as well (like access to cell phones and whatnot) but I think I've made my point.
