It is very important that educated people do not fall for the demagoguery of people who say war on terror has killed 35000 people, implying USA killed them - that is absolutely untrue. these people died in attacks by terrorists. the war on terror is precisely to eliminate these terrorists.

Although the other conversation is more relevant here ... I wanted to say that it was the war on terror that brought the Taliban into Pakistan in the first place. There was absolutely no link of 9/11 to Afghanistan ... except the idea that Usama bin Laden was there ... to get just one man they could have sent spies over a course of 2 years to root him out ... the attacks were totally unnecessary.
I like Imran Khan ... he has feelings ... he behaves like an "insaan da puttar" as they say in Punjabi ... can't say the same for any other politician.
And I have no link to paste here But IK made many meetings with Omer Goga and others to start a power play in Karachi but meetings failed.

As of now, even his worst critics are estimating at least 20 seats for PTI. And there're no signs of elections YET. His popularity peaks in Lahore/GTR belt and is fast spreading elsewhere, as can be seen from the response to his public gatherings. He does use a lot of rhetoric, but my guess is it's mostly motivational in nature to mobilize his support base.
The simple answer is, not among voters - those who vote for baradries or along ethnic lines, the wadera followers etc. - that really matter

I admire his sincerity and determination but do not support his indifference to taliban and religious militancy. The threat from extremists is not imagined but real
I, however, oppose drones because they kill more innocents than criminals. Loss of innocent lives in the name of collateral damage is unacceptable to me atleast

Imran Khan gives more than Rs 12-15 lac in income tax whereas your beloved Nawaz Sharif hardly gives Rs 5,000 income taxes, try again.
It was Nawaz who first started a dirty smear campaign against Imran by unnecessarily bringing up his personal life (Sita White affair) on the eve of the 1996 election. And are we talking of the same Nawaz who has been playing friendly friendly himself with Zardari and co. for the last 3.5 years? PML-N has failed to provide meaningful or effective opposition in parliament. jab bhi poocho why is opposition so weak & useless and not playing it's due role ... jee hum system ko (in other words apni corruption ko) bacha rahe hein!!!
