Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

Peace …

In THe WEEK issue 826, 24th Sept 2011 … page 10 a small article titled: “the fury of Imran Khan” states,

These are strong words by Khan … I hope he stands firms against all those muppets as well … but how realistic is his vision?

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

^^^

His popularity is increasing amongst internet users/Pakistani facebook subscribers.

While it's difficult to challenge his sincerity.. his vision is far from reality. I have never seen him condemning a single terrorist while 35,000 of our countrymen actually lost their lives in last few years. In fact I heard him addressing a rally in Peshawar that he would himself become a suicide bomber if God forbid something happened to his family. Such glorification of suicide bomber who kill innocent people in our country and have nothing to do with the US drone strikes.. is simply unacceptable to me, at least...

Who-so-ever defending/justifying killers of innocent people on what-so-ever grounds has no vision..

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

Peace yazdi

In the same article this is said earlier ...
"The war on terror is the most insane and immoral war of all time," he told Stuart Jeffries in The Guardian. "The Americans are doing what they did in Vietnam, bombing villages. But how can a civilised nation do this? How can you eliminate suspects, their wives, their children, their families? How can you justify this?" Around 35,000 Pakistanis have died, he says, while greedy politicians take advantage of US aid.
I find it almost laughable that you use the 35,000 dead as a number resulting from terrorist activity, however he seems to be making the same case against the US attacks being the cause of the deaths.

I would like to know what proportion of that number is colateral damage from US strikes and what is a direct result of pseudo-Islamic terrorist attacks.

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

I think these are just gimmicks to receive public support, if he comes in power, he wont do things any differently when it comes to foreign policy.

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

Peace Psyah brother..

I don't know where you were living all these years.. but go and make a little bit of research.. In more than 300 suicide/other attacks by terrorist against our innocent people we have lost more than 35,000 people after 9/11... and many more are without limbs. If you doubt these figures.. I can tomorrow give you verified toll from up-teen sources.. and these do not include people who died because of drone attacks..

Any way question is not 1 or 35,000... I can not accept any one defending/glorifying/justifying these killers who kill innocent Pakistanis on what-so-ever grounds..

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

He is speaking from the heart of ordinary ppl but I don't believe that he can get some position without any outside force.

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

That is the problem. We need leaders who speak from their minds not hearts. In this present cruel world there is no place for people who thinks from their hearts.

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

I agree with him. Because its really easy to criticize others while sitting in your peaceful room without knowing their true feelings.
Your can't finish them by power.

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

I fail that response ... There is not enough heart these days ... it's love that cancels cruelty ... not brainteasers.

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

Well I skipped this part before because 35,000 to me is just a number ... I want to know if what he says is correct or even justified that's all.

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

Like Evil Mind which we have now a days .......

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

You don't forget your self!!!!
His visions are only as realistic as much as you believe in them.

If whole pakistan is going to sit and act like foreign spectator, nothing is ever going to happen.
On the other hand, thing resources are there.... problem is people.
ITS PEOPLE!!!

Funny how some most resources rich country in africa are amongst the poorest nation on the planet.

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

He is an idealist and only idealists change the map of this world . He won't win against all the odds , which I hope he will , but he is a fighter . If he'll lose this time then he'll stand up and do it again . Until he'll win , and thats what I like about him and thats what Pakistan needs .

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

I would say Idealist who can take punishment.

Re: Is Imran Khan’s Popularity Rising?

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

I will say nothing.
Lahore is already much angry with me.
If IK should support me about new provinces,
I am sure he can become CM of Lahore .
And I am sure he can develop Lahore.
If he could not make it Paris
He can develop it as Bangkok.
He is experienced enough.

Re: Is Imran Khan's Popularity Rising?

It is very important that educated people do not fall for the demagoguery of people who say war on terror has killed 35000 people, implying USA killed them - that is absolutely untrue. these people died in attacks by terrorists. the war on terror is precisely to eliminate these terrorists.

Don't let the terrorists and their spokesmen use you as cyber-human-shields!
