Someone I know said something today in a way that just made me think twice about something.
This was the scenario:
The person I know was talking to someone else about children. The other person then complimented the person I know.
The person I know said something like this: "Allah is very jealous in that He wants all the praises for Himself.
i.e. its better to compliment Allah alone than to compliment the person I know, because it was Allah in the first place that gave this “admired quality” to the person I know.
Does that make sense? Any ideas/comments? Is this incorrect thinking? Thanks. May Allah forgive me if I said anything wrong.
