Dear Moderator Sadiyah.
Thanks for your time to read through my thread.
It is believed that jinns reside in filth or areas that are not kept clean.
I'm not going to be rude but what if the bathroom is clean 24/7? Do they still hang around/reside in that area?
The bathroom is clean because:
- Only two people living in that house.
- The bathroom is in the master room.
*Hence, there's a duaa that is to be recited before entering the bathroom. *
Yes the dua. Is it true we must cover our hair/head when entering the bathroom or the toilet?
*Yes, angels do not follow you into the bathroom. *
Thank you.
I wonder why angels leave us alone there. He must have good reason I guess.
*I don't see why it would be haraam, unless put under the category of unnecessary expenditure. *
Thank you.
It would make sense I suppose.
Thank you very much.
It has no basis, otherwise by that theory we shouldn’t even have toilets attached to our house, we should be going to fields for our “natural” needs. There is no harm in having a nice house with nice amenities etc. as long as we are following other parts of Islam (Huqooqullah and Huqooqul-Ibaad).
Like someone mentioned above, these are fine as long as the following is kept in mind:
“And give to the kindred their due, as (also) to those in need, and to the wayfarer: and do not squander (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift. Verily spendthrifts are brothers of Satan; and Satan is ungrateful to his Lord.” (Bani Israel 17:26-27)
It is an individual’s prerogative to figure out whether their spending is wasteful or not. If they do not violate this principle, they can build any type of washroom/house/mansion and so forth, if they think the money is being spent like a spendthrift, then they might want to stay away from such expenditure.
Also note that from this verse, it seems that spendthrifts are actually taking the share of those on whom it is due and spend it elsewhere - in other words, the money that is due to someone is their right and we should not spend it wrongfully thereby denying them their right.
