I guess it depends on how far you take. If you’re like some people coughEMMcough who are completely addicted to it, I guess it is haraam. I’m not saying it is, but that’s just my opinion. You’re not supposed to let things take your mind away from your goal on Earth, so things such as drugs, idolizing humans, etc. is haraam.
Very good question Sister OMG. Lets examine it closely, shall we.
A person spends so much time sitting infront of the computer - wasting time, posting worthless junk, that has no intellectual meaning. Through the means of flooding, various topics (that results in no knowledgable meaning) and gossips occur. As we know that gossip is haram. As far as meaningless posts go - you could be doing something better. Such as reading Quran, Prayer, or Hadith; You do not have to be reading the mentioned, as you could instead be increasing your knowledge by reading books regarding Physics, Biology, History, etc…instead of Flooding.
Hope this answers your question.
Jazakallah Khair.
I agree with Itsme. I love to read books. When you read a book, you get something new. And when you read the best book, Holy Quran ofcourse, even if you read it again and again, you get always new and informative that helps you to shape your views and way of to lead a life.:k:
