What is more interesting is that out of all people, **PATHANS **consider farting to be offensive.... awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!
Which Information , the one about Pathans ? One of my sister in Law my bari bhabi is a Pathan. So while visiting her family I used to hear all this.

Long ago, in times when kings ruled over lands, was a mighty, roaring king. His son farted in the court one day. Now he wanted to die out of sharmindgi, but instead his father suggested the prince to be in exile until long time has gone by. THe prince, spending 25 yrs out of his country, decided that ok by now ppl must’ve forgotten that I farted. So he sets back enroute to his country happily happily. At dusk he came upon a forest. So he says to himself, I shall climb the highest tree and spend the night safe away from the reach of the animals. While he was about to doze off, two other random travellers decide to spend the nite under the same tree. Here’s the conversation that takes place btw them…
1st person: Yar tuo kidhar ja raha hie.
2nd person: Yar mie falan jaga ja rah hoon.
1st to second person: How old are you?
2nd person: Dunno much buddy, but Mum said the day the prince farted was when u were born.
The prince hearing this is just mortified thinking: “Haat teri ki, yay tuo ray-aya nay dates fix keein hain maray farting din par!” 
ends up never returning to his motherland 
I think fart has its own personality or rather every personality has their own boombshell.
Kids doit in such a puppp-paaoouuU style.
Men do it like PoonPHaaooUU-Phurrtt.
Women vent like this, PHON,veeeeee phut,phut.

the only farts that are not funnya re silent but violent ones..u dont konow where this assualt was launched from and it creates confusion.

For there to be any doubt about the source of a fart there must be atleast 3 people present.

Yes farts are considered very offensive in Pathan culture but very much acceptable in Punjabi culture.
The Punjabi side of my family embarass me all the time when we go to visit them with other relatives or they come to visit us.
