I mean I am simply in awe of this man’s temperament.
Never angry, never frustrated or perplexed, no ego issues…always calm, composed and focused. Amazing how he manages to be like this all the time…
I think Dravid’s persona is something we should all strive to emulate (no matter what professional field we are in).
And I thought this thread was made moments after you looked at the one made prior to this one just a few minutes ago. :p
But yes, in all seriousness, I could translate Dravid's humbleness and down-to-earth personality into a million adjectives, but the initial post will suffice. Nevertheless, a very calm and collected customer, and a role-model for the upcoming and future generation.
Well there was this time when he was down on his knees looking at the ground thinking how the hell do i get out of this one, or how the hell did i ever get into this one.
That was during one ODI more affectionately remembered as the Kanpur Willow Massacre. :p
That was during one ODI more affectionately remembered as the Kanpur Willow Massacre. :p
Apart from that i wish Dravid was paki.
Sincerely,
Captain Lota
Please elaborate a little bit more Mr. Lota...Dont seem to rememeber that one....
With regard to Dravid...I think he is a fantastic person...probably a very good role model for all....but on a personal basis...mujhe nahin lagta ke main us jaisa accha banna chahta hu...
Im much happier enjoyin life and not behaving my best at all times....But yeah there is no arguing he is one of the Gentlemen of cricket...
Hmmm........ you need to go back in time and than you will remember when Shahid Afridi massacred the Indian bowling attack and scored the second fastest century in the hisotry of ODI. Ganguly got a 6 match ban and Dravid was the captain in that match.
Have to admit with Some 1 (although it happens very rarely:D), but Dravid is a true gentleman. No question about it.
Haan ab yaad aaaya.....Us raat main bahut der tak jaaga tha is ummeed mein ke kuch kamaal hoga...Woh match dekhne ke baad mujhe itna sadma pahuncha ke maine agle 1 mahine tak maine kisi se cricket ke baare mein baat nahin kari...
There is one TV prank show in MTV called "BAKRA" wherein a lot of people are made fun off. The anchor of this show is Cyrus Broacha. If you fall for the prank, then you are a "BAKRA".
Well this Cyrus arranged a trap for Dravid, a beautiful girl who is a 'die-hard' fan of Dravid and wants to meet him personally and talk to him in private. There are secret cameras recording the meeting in the room and after a while of discussions between Dravid and the girl, she starts falling all over him and tries to hug him. But, Dravid, the Gentleman he is, promptly pushes her away and shouts at her, and asks her to control herself and she is a teenage kid and better for her to stay away. Even then the girl continues falling on him and that's when he asks her to get out and walks out of the room. That's when Cyrus enters and admits it was his turn to become a BAKRA.
Remember this happened maybe 3 years ago, before Dravid was married. I think he is a great gentleman and a good human being.
Not sure about Younis Khan...but Inzimam has many of Dravid's traits...if you forget the incident when Inzi attacked a spectator for callimg him AALOO.
Younis Khan comes close to the temperment of Dravid - (maybe even surpasses it - cuz Younis always has that smile going, even if he knows he is about to be kicked out of the team - recall the 1 run he made after 2 ducks)
Yh, totally,.that ws the one thing i didn like bcos it ws like he ws begging 2 b in the team,.and dat just made it seem like he ws a desperado,.but otherwise,.humaare inzi ji bilkul rahul ke tarha hai,.humble,.quiet,.moderate temp,.etc
^ ahan - that guy is Hilarious; even tho. I dislike him playing for Team Pakistan yet can’t let go off his Humour. He got qualities of Brian Lara, not only Humour wise but also Batting, although he still needs to polish them and let go the “Younis Style” of batting.
