Prophet’s time, there was no govt. Islamic state concept started after his death in the times of khulfa e Rashideen. Now if you look at those governments, three out of four caliphs were assassinated, dozens of rebellion movements emerged, dozens of false prophets emerged, major sahabas stopped talking to each other and split into opposing groups, battles happened between sahabas, history resulted in such a chaos that a major sect of muslims now hate 3 out of those 4 caliphs. All in less than 30 years. You call that a successful form of govt?
