In the UK Hindu parents would rather their kids married sikhs, then christians.....and preferably not muslims or blacks....
but of course it happens everywhere.........you have to remember that as a rule Hindu and Sikhs are more liberal than Muslims.......you have more of their women out their in he outside world at work , education than Muslim women.........they dont have to wear the head covers or asian dress as much as say muslim women would be pressured to do. up north its even more conservative and you have even less hindus and sikhs than say around the south and the midlands................you would get riots over dating in some areas between pakistani paunjabi muslims and indian punjabi sikhs , and around where i live between pakistani punjabi and mirpuri muslims versus indian gujerati muslims...... inter ethnic and inter religion dating used to cause problems but now things seem to have changed...
Even marriage between Mirpuris-Punjabi's-Pakhtuns is not so common......forget that most people in the uk stil have a caste system lol...chaudry, raja's,butt's, gujar's, syed's , malik's blah blah blah..
