I know dating is a normal thing in India. But what about dating between Hindus and Muslims over there? Is it common? Or is it more of a “It’s not common, but happens” kind of a thing?
Just wondering, don’t mean to start a Hindu vs Muslim argument.

One of my uncles on the Indian side of my family "married" a hindu. Now the whole family, both on the Indian side and the pakistani side, pretends the guy never existed.

It's common whether you're in the subcontinent or living anywhere else where both Indos and Paks reside.

It's not common but yes exceptionals are every where.

Yes they do. Hindu boys dating muslim girls & Muslim boys dating Hindu girls. It is not considered good but it happens.
But again that has been to told to me by an Indian person (a Hindu Individual).

I don't have many relatives in India.....but the knowledge that I have of some would suggest that it is not uncommon for the two to mix.

I know thas deff the case here (NYC), hindus, muslims, sikhs, christians etc dating..

its like asking "do muslims drink wine that is brewed by non-muslims (hindus or whatever)"....
once u r doing wrong, i dont think all that matters....
i dont see how muslim-hindu dating is any worse than muslim-muslim dating....
on a lighter note, it cud appear better given that in a muslim-hindu dating, only one muslim is sinning while in a muslim-muslim thing it wud be two muslims committing sin....

iv had muslim freinds (guys and girls) date non muslims...(hindus or christians or watever) so yea...it does happen..about it being common...im not sure...but 1 thing that is common is a desi muslim guy dating a white girl...common...for sure...
about the hindu muslim thing...iv seen it happen and iv heard of it...but not too sure...if its common

And is there really a difference if a Hindu Muslim date and a Muslim Muslim date?

Happens in the UK, its a good thing if it happens in India, means its more secular. A happy society is a secular society, i.e. you are less likely to burn someone you’ve once dated. Unless they really really pissed you off

In the UK Hindu parents would rather their kids married sikhs, then christians.....and preferably not muslims or blacks....
but of course it happens everywhere.........you have to remember that as a rule Hindu and Sikhs are more liberal than Muslims.......you have more of their women out their in he outside world at work , education than Muslim women.........they dont have to wear the head covers or asian dress as much as say muslim women would be pressured to do. up north its even more conservative and you have even less hindus and sikhs than say around the south and the midlands................you would get riots over dating in some areas between pakistani paunjabi muslims and indian punjabi sikhs , and around where i live between pakistani punjabi and mirpuri muslims versus indian gujerati muslims...... inter ethnic and inter religion dating used to cause problems but now things seem to have changed...
Even marriage between Mirpuris-Punjabi's-Pakhtuns is not so common......forget that most people in the uk stil have a caste system lol...chaudry, raja's,butt's, gujar's, syed's , malik's blah blah blah..
