You are an emancipated woman. Why do you need a man to walk you to the car or ask you to text when you get home. You are equal to men now. No special treatment.
Nah, I'm not strong. A creepo could easily take me down. You might know all about that :D
I don’t get creeped out by chivalry, I respect the guys for being so courteous. But I don’t love the special treatment either. Ok I would expect my prince charming to treat me like a princess but my class fellow isn’t expected to, doesn’t have to pull out the chair for me every time in the college canteen, that’s when I feel slightly embarrassed.
Also, there’s a difference between being considerate and being gentlemanly. I’d like to think EVERY one of us are considerate people? I hold the door for anyone who happens to be walking behind me and no one smashes the door at my face either. I make sure my friends get home safe and vice versa. Every time I’m out with my female friends, I never go out to the pubs after dinner so they walk me to the taxi stand even though it’s absolutely safe to walk there by yourself. So these things aren’t limited to gentlemen only.
Naa best not I hate lances trust me the Asian lances generally are lighter unless they are the heavy Birch types and most Asiatic’s prefer to use Javelins. The Lance is primarily a European Weapon for Knights. On horseback you want a Slicing Sabre or better a can opener… I mean Mongtor Mace/War hammer/flail weapon.
when did feminism start getting such a bad reputation?
When women got equal rights, the opportunity to do whatever a man can do, and yet they're still fighting for?...
Not to mention feminazis who literally believe the human race would be better off without men. You should google some of the hate speech they spew.
Back on topic, what people are calling chivalry, holding doors open etc, I call manners. That's still alive.
Chivalry, to me, is being expected to give up your seat for a woman (provided she's not pregnant or anything), paying for dinner, stuff like that. I actually prefer to do that kind of stuff but SOME women are so self entitled that it makes me want to go out of my way to not show them any extra respect.
My grandma, who is progressive even by today's standards, actually told me she thinks girls today are really self entitled. And this is Pakistani girls. I know there are many jahil type of families out there, but mine isn't like that, so when I see these man hating types go around yelling at guys etc, it just makes me think guys who insist on treating them like "queens" are just door mats and I've seen way too many guys get screwed around by being nice guys.
