Anyway the topic of this thread is “Is Chatting… On Da Net Haram?”
i recently read an article in the Jang newspaper that chatting on the net is
haram.
i was like totally
the article included goin into chat rooms, msn messengers etc, it sed smething
abt talkin to garehe mehram and that we guys and gals should not be doin
this…
just wanted to knw every1 elses views on this…

put it like this, if you think chatting to guys in real life is haram....then the same would apply to the net.
but if you talk to them in real life (ahem ahem).....then its the same thing :)

no i don't. if ur talkign about something necessary, liek school (that is if u believe in going to school even though--GOD FORBID--You'll have a male classmate/coworker/professor) or work (ditto) or educating them on Islam, then I think that's fine...

But it's true. you arn't allowed to talk to namehrams, however, there are exceptions. :D
