The local council election combined with the European parliament elections and the contest for London’s mayor on 10 june could herald the end of the Blair as PM of England. If, as expected his party loses heavily in these elections I think he will be up for the chop and Britain can than finally remove the American foreign minister from 10 downing street.
Gordon Brown, who is the favourite to take over from Balir has already got an alternative cabinet chosen.
All the papers and the news casts are talking about as never before, and even his leading cabinet colleagues (Prescott) have now publicly admitted differences between him and Brown. This is very much like the momentum that built up for Michael Heseltine before he challenged Mrs Thatcher in 1990.
***British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Bush’s closest war ally, gets only a brief mention in the film but Moore said after the screening: “What is he doing hanging out with a guy like George W. Bush? I have never understood that – it’s the weirdest couple I have ever seen.”
If he stays or goes it really does`nt matter, the reason being whoever was in power in No 10 would have done the same.
The only reason i see Blair stepping down is so that his Party the Labour Party with a new leader have a good chance of wining the election which will be happening soon.
This Brown chap who is supposed to be next leader do you honestly see him doing anythign different than B-liar did joining with the Americans in a joint crusade against muslims?
