i think being funless, humorless and adventureless is probably seen as a sign of maturity (go figure)...u know the concept of an immaculate, soft-spoken, primly dressed girl as an ideal bahoo and a brooding, level-headed, 'sober' kind as the perfect 'damaad', both kinds are predictable in their demeanor thus considered safe.
