i do not think its a good thing becaz striving for something just to be at the front or praised is useless

but striving for something for its worth is much better. this does not always need competing

It depends. If the competition is hurting you, then it’s a bad thing. If the competition is helping to improve the quality without hurting, then it’s a good thing. It has more to do with the attitude of competitors, than the competitiveness itself.

A good thing as long as it’s a source of motivation for you, and the one you’re competing against.

It goes downhill when jealousy, superiority complexes and arrogance step in.
