Is ALLAH'S Diversity an Innovation?

Folks,
Is Allah’s Diversity an Innovation?

According to Moderator Sentinel of the Religion Forum - This is so; or, Diversity is an Innovation - bida’h!

I quote from Sentinel:
** The spread of nationalism, with its separating of Muslims along ethnic, linguistic and tribal lines, is an evil and divisive innovation in Islam. Allah says in His Book:

Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your tribe, the wealth that you have gained, the commerce in which you fear a decline, and the dwellings in which you delight are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and striving hard in His Cause, then wait until Allah brings about His Decision. And Allah guides not a rebellious people. [Qur’an 9:24] **

Folks,
Are muslims not comprised of different race, language, cultures and ethnicity?
Were the arabs at the time of the Prophet SWS not different from the other arab tribes?
Was the quran not recited in seven different dialects at the time of the Prophet SWS ?

I REJECTED and REBUTTED the statement of Sentinel in her thread (link provided above). The following is my rebuttal which was DELETED by Sentinel:

beginning of quote:
Interesting choice of words - Dear Sentinel. Diversity - an Innovation? I guess you and I went to different madrasas

Diversity exists because of the Will of Allah. And, He wants us to Cherish Diversity and not REVILE it. Pls refer to [49:13] as follows and a Caution from Allah lest anyone thinks that they are the other person’s keeper - refer to aya [6:107] listed below:

Translation: Yusufali
[al-Hujurat 49:13] O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And God has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).

[al-An`am 6:107] If it had been God’s plan, they would not have taken false gods: but We made thee not one to watch over their doings, nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs.

end of quote

If one reads ayath 49:13 or:
"…We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of God is (he who is) the most righteous of you…"

Is Allah condemning Diversity?
Instead - Allah is clearly saying that the most honoured is the one who does not despise, rather cherish diversity.

Also, just in case that one wishes to IMPOSE their own interpretation to the notion of Allah’s Diversity, Allah has this CAUTION :

[al-An`am 6:107] If it had been God’s plan, they would not have taken false gods: but We made thee not one to watch over their doings, nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs.

NOTE: Dear Moderator Shirin - I would appreciate if this thread is left in this Forum. Thank you.

I think in its proper context (given above), Sentinel is correct. Islam is anything but nationalistic - as a universal creed it does not limit itself to race, ethnicity, tribal boundaries etc, because those parameters do not define “Muslim”. Islam acknowledges these “boundries” but does not in away limit itself with regards to them. “Arab is equal (neither superior nor inferior) to the Ajam”

I’m surprised that going to different medrassas leads to such such narrow - mindedness. What an unfortunate turn of events. The very madressas and religious universities that were once beacons of knowledge produce warriors with Quran in one hand and klashnikov in another!

Freedom Without Responsibility is Disastrous

islam does not cherish nationalism....
geographical boundaries that divide MUSLIMS into DISTICT NATIONS r and were never liked by Islam....

u have taken the wrong idea from the aayaat of the Quraan....
the Prophet (pbuh) has described the Muslims of the world as parts of ONE BODY as that is how we must be....
natioanlism and formation of countries is UN-ISLAMIC....

i guess, religously speaking, islam does not acknowledge race and nationalism....but politically speaking it DOES.....and when we say religiously, that is to say, in the eyes of allah as better muslim....but otherwise, u cannot turn ur heads from the fact of different races and nations on geographical grounds.......and to explain more...the translation of a verse...sorry that i dont have the original text, verse number, ready but i can post it later....the translation is like...
"We created you from one man and one woman and then devided you in different tribes and branches, so u can distinguish, (but) no doubt, in the eyes allah, one who is more pious (abstainant) is more respectful." (baqarah)

Does not this topic belong to the Religious Section or the author of the first post was so affraid of some thing putting this his thread in the religious section?
