A general question:
Marriages may be made in heaven, but their fate is decided right here. Is a loveless marriage worth its while or is divorce the better way out?

Re: Is a 'loveless marriage' worth its while?
Depends. It may be loveless but if there is mutual respect and tolerance for each other then it just might be worth it depending on the situation and people involved.
Re: Is a 'loveless marriage' worth its while?
Eh unless anyone has been in the situation, I don't think you can look out for an honest reply.
'Depending on the situation' 'Perhaps if we knew the background' 'Maybe there's a reason' is all you'll get.
My personal take, its no fun living in a loveless marriage.
Re: Is a 'loveless marriage' worth its while?
loveless marriage kills it all IMO.
marriage is itself a rocky mountain ride with all the ups and downs in the package ...it's only the spouse's affection and love which can make one get through the crummy days ! but like some posters said it all depends on the situation. if divorce can lead to family chaos and cutting off ties and if there is enough tolerance and respect then one can compromise. Same would be the case if children too are there, as the children are the ones to suffer the consequences of a divorce the most !

Loveless marriage means absence of love after few years of marriage because of any reason or marrying someone whom we don't love at all?
I guess all the arranges marriages start as loveless marriages and we all need to give it a try to make these 'loveless' marriages a chance. As for absence of love after so many years is concerned, both the spouses need to look closely about the reasons of lack of love since its human nature that we tend to start loving anyone with whom we live and spend time.

No its not.
Newsflash–you don’t have to be beaten to a bloody pulp to get a divorce ![]()

Thats not the best definition of loveless marriage. For some people or marriages, love is defined by respect and tolerance, love naturally evolves into respect and tolerance. You can have all the romance (or love rather) in a marriage but if respect and tolerance are missing, the marriage is bound to explode soon or later.
Loveless marriage is pure suffering and deep sense of unhappiness.

divorce is never a first option
no matter how much you justify yourself, divorce leaves scar for the rest of the life
Re: Is a 'loveless marriage' worth its while?
^ do u think the scar of divorce goes just for the girl or do u think guys are equally effected?

I am a child of divorced parents. I wouldn't have it any other way !!!!

I think the stigma of a divorce is more serious/heavy for a woman than for a man.
Sorry if that sounds sexist.
Re: Is a 'loveless marriage' worth its while?
I couldn't do it, I'd find it boring and derogatory. After a while I would be screaming and running to the nearest exit.
My parents were in a strange marraige - I think they are both better people as a result of it ending. Even though as kids we may have lost - being brother and sister (my dad got me and my mum got my brother), I would rather my dad be happy and not lose his sanity and the same goes for my mum, rather than them screaming like banshees at each other and having to watch that every day. MEH. Or watching a fake marriage and it eating me inside.
