A bad husband shouldn't have a chance to be a FATHER. Let alone a good or a bad one.
In case its too late to prevent a 'bad husband' from being a father then depends on wht kinda 'bad' he is.
So no, a bad husband isn't necessarily a bad father but, not necessarily a good father either. Differs from husband to husband.

A man can be a terrible husband, but a decent father....however.....being a bad husband still effects the children. It's not something that can also be seen right away, however, children who grow up seeing their father be a bad husband often deal with the repercussions for the rest of their lives, especially in adulthood/their own marriages.

Yep. Guess who mom is gonna rant to about him being a bad husband? The kids. That puts the kids in a weird predicament, forcing them to choose sides or just become indifferent to their parents problems and lives. Neither of which is healthy for their emotional well-being.

see, what i was thinkng was. a guy may be a bad husband, so wife get divorced. Now in 99% of cases, she get teh custody. But the kids lose a father. Now is it possible that the kids lost opportunity of having a good father, just bcoz he was a bad husband?? You get my point? No?

"Bad husband" is mostly a perspective. From his PoV, he might have a "bad wife".
"Bad father" is more objective because it's a result of his parenting style, which is very measurable based on the norms and standards set by society.
Both are two different things.

even in the amicable divorces kids still go into the custody of only one parent. as you said 90% cases, i dont think 99%, so kids get to suffer anyways whether father was a bad husband or not. and such father will only pass on his rotten set of values to the next gen.
