Please can anyone share any information about post pregnancy anemia. My baby is 7 months and I’m still anemic ![]()

Speak to your doctor and get iron tablets prescribed, eat green vegetable that are high in iron. I drink a smoothie of spinach bananna and apple juice which is not from concentrate. Does wonders

You can do the following to recover from Anaemia:

Have a tablet of Iron Ferrous every day along with a half glass of Orange juice . ( Vitamin C helps Iron to get absorbed in a better way ). Ensure that you get the Orange juice that is not made from Concentrate.

When you take the Iron Tablet, ensure you arent planning to or have already had tea or coffee two hours before or after taking the tablet. ( Caffeine doest let Iron get absorbed in the body )

Ensure you havnt had any dairy products like cheese, milk, cream etc at the time when you plan to take your tablet. ( Calcium also stops Iron from getting absorbed )

Please take the Iron tablets in the above manner, for a month or two .. once the levels start getting better, then you can continue with the natural remedy which is extremely helpful : Chop up two large oranges + 6 to 8 dates ( khajoor ) … eat them together every day. Specially during the period. ( Dates are full of Iron, Oranges are full of Vitamin C , Iron absorbs better , as discussed before )

yup! i gots it bad too. i’ve always had it to some extent but its pretty bad of late. i’m taking iron pills every day and i’m trying to eat better but thats about all you can do.

Red meat will help increasin iron… My iron level was 6 (minimum has to b 10)and if u wanna conceive or r expectin it s healthy to have it round 20
Try to eat red meat 2/3 times a week apples 2 times a week and iron tabs… ( it helped me gettin my iron to 15 in 3/4 months ![]()

I went to Pakistan after I had my baby and dr there wanted to put me on 2 drips of iron but I didn’t do it assuming there’s better ways now I know there are. I look fwd to consuming dates and oranges ![]()

Yellow , have you tried having Isabgol every morning ? normally that helps ..
I have done Isabgol every time I travel .. i think my body was so immune to it that it didnt respond well to isabgol during pregnancy ..
apple is said to reduce constipation as well ..
I am also on Prune juice now , on the recommendation of many friends here on GS .. just started it and I think I can already sort of feel the difference .. but will definitely know if its taken affect, in a few days time ..
I am sure there are several ways to beat the constipation as well , just that we got to know our bodies better :hinna:
