Why wouldn't you take what your doc recommends? Why do you think it is unsafe?

Re: IRON DEFICIENCY !
How much fish can I eat during my pregnancy?
In March 2004, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued new guidelines for how women who are trying to conceive, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and young children can limit their exposure to mercury in fish. They now recommend that you eat no more than 6-12 ounces a week of canned "light" tuna and other cooked fish. Other fish which is safe to be consumed twice a week include:
Salmon in all forms, except from the Great Lakes
Farmed trout
Sardines
Herrings
Pilchards
Flounder and sole
Farmed cat fish, stripped bass and tilapia
Cod
Haddock
Mahi mahi
Perch
Crab, shrimp, scallops, clams, oysters, mussels, crayfish
:)
Re: IRON DEFICIENCY !
It is good to eat iron rich foods like spinach, prunes, apples, etc. However, if the deficiency ismsevere enough forth doctor to recommend an IV I think you should go through with it. Iron stores build over a period of change. Dven supplements are slow to act. Do you have concerns for a reason?
Re: IRON DEFICIENCY !
i was iron deficient in my last trimester, its normal, in the last stages the babies taken more iron from you etc so alot of people become iron deficicient, why didnt she give you iron tabs...my doc gave me iron tabs and a strict iron rich diet....as well as my usual pregnacare tabs which have some iron in it too, im still taking them.....
Re: IRON DEFICIENCY !
She says she's already taking iron supplements. This might be more severe.
