Irish music

:o Anyone have any (truncated) mp3’s of Irish music - something along the lines of Lord of the Dance or Braveheart? Let’s hear some good ol’ fashioned toe-tapping Irish classical beats.

i have something from Lord of the Dance but it’s not an mp3… wanted to upload it here. If i find something suitable, i’ll post it here.

One of the classics!

Bandoostaa, :flower1: aw thanks. That’s quite solidly Irish music.

Have you ever heard of the Lord of the Dance or RiverDance? They’re Irish dancing ‘shows’ for want of a much better descriptive word. hmm here’s a pic of the group:

Anyways their music is pretty cool sometimes. Please do listen to this link - you’ll need RealPlayer for it. It’s a funkier version of Irish beats  Let me know if you like it, please. It really begins to pick up at the 3.35 mark. Hope you enjoy it!

I have a confession to make. A few years ago I went to see Riverdance. And enjoyed it too.

Nad, I was trying to be funny with my posted song lol, still glad you found it Irish enough.
Yours certainly picked up half way through. A definite head nodding/feet tapping musical. good stuff :k:

I've something better. Loreena McKennit's "The Old Ways", a perfect celtic music. Hope you enjoy it!

I've seen both River Dance and Lord of the Dance. I preferred River Dance though.

If you like Irish music, you should also check out music by The Chieftains .... and even The Corrs. :p

The Chieftains are simply great. Can't believe they're still making music.

Aye so here's my contribution:

Bandoostaa, :smack: i thought you liked that Irish jig you posted earlier, that’s why i didn’t want to say anything against it :o  Maybe that is an acquired taste. :o
Okay the last two you posted, were more along the lines of normal stuff  Thanks… that’s the type of countryside Irish music i was referring to…with the flutes and all, just reminds you of the beautiful Irish countryside (not that i’ve ever seen it except in pictures).

Mehnaz, oh i like the Corrs :k: Good stuff there.

Shawaiz, :~( The Braveheart one isn’t working for me. But thanks for trying anyways, i appreciate it. The Loreena McKennit one is good :k:

Thanks all; i appreciate it.

Well, I don't know why it didn't work. I am uploading again, hope it works this time.
