certainly a good bowler for india...he did well for india in the last match. he seems like a cool person too.

He's definetly a talented bowler and we saw that in VB series and in the last ODI match. I think he just needs to be more cosistent, and he can become a very good bowler for India, not to forget his batting abilities aren't bad either.

he was offered for modeling before he started playing cricket but he did not accept the offer.

Interesting to see an Indian Gujarati with last name pathan :)

Anyway, he is only 19, definitely a talented bowler he will be pretty lethal in few years.

I agree, he is the new bowling sensation for India. He is young, energetic, good pace and talent for his age. He can shine in years to come.

I know sharara what you mean :slight_smile: he sure is the best looking Indian player thus far. I haven’t seen tall and handsome Indian player before. No wonders Indian girls are so crazy after him :k: way to go Irfan…phataano ka naam roshan kar India mein :rotato:

Actually there is another gujju fast bowler who has some potential. his name is munaf patel. he is very young and getting training in MRF pace foundation .
i hope he can fill the vaccum of a third fast bowler for india.

Its upto you how you like to spell it in English. Both are OK.

For me phattan is closer to actual word. As there is no pa-tth-aan. But ph-att-aan when say it right.

He is a good prospect for india and perhaps he alongwith Balaji may be the find of the tour for india.

That he is good to look at while bowling is an added plus (no offence to Balaji though)

He's got a great inswinger no doubt. I haven't seen a left arm bowler swing it so much since Wasim Akram. He needs to get a bit more variety though beofre he can be counted as really dangerous. Good prospect though.
