Does he only shoot upper-middle class and the posh? Or this is the reality of most Pakistani weddings? Because all of his brides have amazing dresses, amazing venues, amazing everything. So I am unsure if this is only the posh families or are most pakistani weddings now are higher in standards.
Or is it just that everything is normal but he makes everything look extravagant.
Haven’t been to a wedding in years but have mine coming up so not sure about anything at all.
Even I always wondered the same thing?
How come everyone is sooo well dressed and good looking
and do people actually spend sooo much on the decorations and venues??
But he has made several posts about how he does do middle range weddings as well but most of the people that allow their pics to be used are the higher society/extremely rich type couples.
Seems so. A photographer I know (in the UK) used to work with Irfan Ahson and said they have certain clients who just do the standard 'look' in the photography style that Irfan uses. Also apparently he isn't that expensive (compared to UK prices) which is why they use him? Dunno if that's true though.
As a professional photographer in Toronto - I can tell you , not every wedding generally makes the cut to be uploaded online. People judge us by our worst pictures (even when it is not our fault).

By worst pictures you mean something that's not "trendy" or visually appealing? If so....thats actually kind of depressing.
yea, i'm curious how much he charges too. he constantly posts on his facebook that he is really affordable and people shouldn't be scared to contact him/book him because he does weddings for all classes of people.
^ I think he started that couple of years ago, there are lot of great photography options in pakistan now, so he had to introduce multi-tiered photography packages. He used to be expensive, exclusive wedding photographer but not anymore. He is no doubt very good, but so are a lot of others....I appreciate his work but the attitude people referred to above even comes across in his pics (his own pics, not of other I meant LOL)
^ what do you mean it comes across in his pics? i haven't really heard or seen any other "good" photographers in Lahore particularly. plus it seems like Mariam Khawaja is now "the" beauty parlor to go to as well thanks to his advertising her :). i think she has done ALL the high class brides in his pictures, right?
He is very expensive for pakistani level. a family photo session was 50K 2 year ago. which is expensive for pakistani standards. For the longest time he didn't have a studio either, and now that he has one we has packages with junior artist as well.
I have worked him before and he is very down to earth. He lived in Texas for a while (grad. school,) and is very straight forward with his clients. Like when i contact him for a kids session he was very upfront and said doesn't enjoy them as he doesn't have much patients with kids (2 year old.) i appreciated his honesty.
^ so how much is a typical photoshoot with other "normal" photographers? how much does Irfan Ahson charge now? i always thought he seemed to cater to the upper classes, but repeatedly i have seen posts where he states he is affordable, not exclusive to higher class, etc.
