Iraqis mount stiff resistance - 'US forces kill 77 Iraqi civilians in Basra' (Merged)

This is just for the record, don't be surprised if US terrorist suddenly started finding WMD all over the place.....

From what i saw on CNN basra hasnt been captured yet..they dont wanna get into the city yet because of urban warfare.

Things are getting murkier for the US, with the heaviest fighting to date at Nasiriya. I hope that Karbala will NOT be a site of fighting, too much of our Islamic particularly Shiite history rooted there. Any collateral damage BS will not fly there.

Yes, the Iraqi people are no pushovers and are going to fight to keep their country from being taken over by illegal invading Anglo-Saxon forces.

It seems in every town the American's have attacked in the south they are either being repulsed or are being faced with unprecedented Iraqi counter attacks that are humiliating the American forces. The most potent example of the American humiliation is the fact they cannot even take control of Umm Qasr a largely unpopulated town just a mere 1 km from the Iraqi border.

Did you seen the Iraqi children cheering U.S. troops as they passed, you believe that was a setup I suppose?

American humiliation? We're only in day 4 of the war Malik.

Underthedome I bet that was a setup, look at the camps set up in Jordan and Saudi, they are all empty, and the Iraqis that were in Jordan came back home. They want to fight for their nation.

The US sure did make Afghanistan a better place now huh?

And the parents of those Iraqi children swiftly gave the American's a lesson that they needed to be taught. :)

Yes we are in day four, when your like were happily predicting that on day four the US would be in Baghdad. Yet in day four it can't even capture the uninhabited port town of Umm Qasr only 1 km from the Kuwaiti border. Has CNN and Fox News been showing all the American humiliations in the South...?

Thank God there are other News channels out there then Americans

The US media tells us ****

Yes it is better, but much much more still must be done. The stadium can be used for football and games rather than public executions...many threads are opened on Afghanistan if you want to discuss.

The only prediction I've made is what the final outcome of this will be.

20 terrorist captured while trying to land in Baghdad..:- 20 US Commandos Captured While Landing in Baghdad
20 US Commandos Captured While Landing in Baghdad
Up to 20 US special force commandos have been captured while making landing attempts in the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad,Arabia TV based in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, said Sunday.

BBC says there's 5000 US marines vs ~500 Iraqis at Nasiriya.. And Iraq says a lot worse to come for US terrorist....

Halalujia!

If that is bad enough you should see the humiliation they are suffering at Umm Qasr. The American's claimed they had taken this largely uninhabited port town on Friday, but the BBC report just showed them pinned down by 100 Iraqi Republican guard soldiers. The same is the case for all the towns across in southern Iraq, with reports that Iraqi soldiers are "welcoming" in US troops and once they are in they pounce on them.

Which will end up hurting Iraqis but Saddam has never cared about the Iraqi people. The Umm Qasr situation has been taken care of.

Is that not what the US military said on Friday? You’ll believen anything the US networks say in their very selective reporting. :hehe:

No, not really.

When the fire power of two opposing forces does not match, the weaker force has to resort to guerilla tactics. Remember the speech by bin Laden? Looks like the Iraqis took it to heart.

Another thing, the news networks here reported that most of the forces fighting are the "elite republican guards" who have nothing to loose. The very next item was about Nasiriya where they said "irregulars" were fighting. So which is it?

What is happening is that ordinary Iraqi people are fighting alongside regular Iraqi troops, supposedly "welcoming" in US troops and the trapping them inside.

When you are coming to rob one's house, if that person has any dignity, then he or she will fight. These people may not like Saddam, but they may hate the US more and understand the core objectives behind this zionist-propelled quest to transform the Middle East. Whatever your allegiances are, I think it's time to layoff the petty differences and grasp what's happening.

The Americans were expecting the Iraqis to withdraw and fight in the cities. I don't think they were expecting them to fight in the Southern Cities though, so they bypassed them. allowing the Iraqis to use the cities as bases to attack. When you get down to the level of street fighting, the technological edge is no longer as decisive.
