These liberators have brought more ruin and done more wreckage in a year than a hundred Saddams could have done in one hundred…
At least with Saddam as a dictator, the Iraqis had a civil life…Now they have nothing except to sit back and let these occupiers try and leech their country dry of its natural resources on the pretext of rebuilding a nation which these ‘liberators’ themselves decimated and destroyed…Not to mention a million years of radioactive radiation and a nation robbed of its basic necessities of life and infrastructure…
True, Saddam ruled with an iron hand, but he had managed to run a nation of diverse ethnicities with noticeably relative peace…
Then these ‘liberators’ claim that they freed the Iraqi people from a ruthless dictator…Where was this liberation mentality when Khmer Rouge decimated 1.5 million people on the streets? Who cares? There’s no oil in Cambodia…
A ruthless dictator who provides the basic necessities of life is much better than two faced liars who kill, maim and destroy indiscriminately…
It’s true. If this is ‘liberation’, then may God protect every nation from it and to rise up against such wanton and blatant destruction in the name of freedom and peace…
No nation deserves this kind of ‘liberation’…The sooner these occupationists leave or are ‘liberated’ from their lives the better…
You think when Saddam comes back there would be peace? First he will kill hundreds and hundreds of those who sold him out. They guy was sold out by his own best friends, then do you think he'll just forget about all those Kurds and Shais jumping up and down when he was caught? Yeah right, this thing is a big mess. It's a perfect example of damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Sooner or later the internationally community will leave the US all alone in this mess, this is a time for every nation that ever wanted to get back at the US one way or another.
Already Chenny is kissing Jap behind, a whole lot of kissing behind is to come soon.
Definitely bring him back. With the right setup (like the UN's oil for food scheme),
we can bring him back into the fold, sic him on Iran again. How brave will Sadr and co. be when they have to fight against someone without any rules? Let the country and region sink rightfully into its own morass of violence and hate, as this is apparently their destiny. Viva Saddam! As for the U.S. we should keep some Guantanamo-styled bases there for all the trouble and expense we incurred trying to help a helpless folk.
saddam is a good riddance but occupation is not the solution.
the shia clerics and sunnis need to come out with a alternate leadership and not a puppet regime
Yes, by all means, bring back Saddam! right Now!. Old Saddam knew how to put down a rebellion, and would not put up with any of this AlJazeera reporting either. Close a newspaper for 60 days! Man he would have fed the Editor into the machinery feet first!
So in the end, Saddam was right. The ethnic, tribal and religious divisions in Iraq are too great, and that it really is not a country at all. The Iraqi's do not respect the rule of law, just the rule of the gun. They are incapable of governing themselves, and even the smallest militia in the country has the right to throw the country into a civil war. Slash a relgious cleric to death? Cool! Let's let THAT guy run a region of the country, and definitely the surviving Iraqi's will have peace and stability.
I say sell Saddam a couple billion dollars worth of helicopter gunships and watch how fast law and order is restored.
The nanosecond memory of the world, and it's media should be rewarded for waiting a whole year before they declare failure.
Nicely summed up as usual O.G. I can only speak for myself, but there is not a bunch of sarcasm in my feelings on this subject. I really can't see any scenario in which U.S. efforts/sacrifice would be received in any way other than with contempt. From here at home to Europe, to Iraq. From vaccines to water projects to their very freedom from a dictator, they clearly don't want it (from U.S. in any case).
Falluja has proven once and for all that the American terrorists are trying to outdo Saddam in the genocide stakes. By usuing their helicopter gunships and not so smart bombs they have mercilessly butchered hundreds, if not thousands of innocent civilians - an act of butchery that would make Saddam proud. Then they are closing down newspapers, killing foreign journalists, and even bringing back Saddam's generals to threaten the Iraqi military to follow their orders.

So true, but we are just not nearly as good at it yet. We are so lame. What's stopping us for god's sake?
Bring back Saddam and bring our boys back home. :k:
The people of Iraq desereve no less and neither do the brave Americans who have tried to bring peace and stability to a country that does not want or deserve it.
There is nothing more I would rather do that walk away. Certainly no one would come back ten years later and claimed that we "abandoned" the poor Iraqi's!
Screw 'em! They all deserve dictators, bogus elections, ethnic cleansing, and massive corruption. A real bummer for bringing democracies and freedoms to Islamic countries, but like they say in Seminole-country, "I really don't have a dog in this hunt" anyway!
Old US policy of befriending dictators in the Islamic world and using them for our benefit by throwing few crumbs here and there on their way was not made by idiots...they were probably smarter than Bush team. It is even working in Pakistan to some extent. Simple solution: be a dicatator or whatever we care less as long as you confine your torture experiments, mass graves, rapes of accused's family and gunning down rebellions to your own borders...if you throw even a brick our way then we will just bomb you to stone age and leave it to yourself to rebuild for next 30 years. If people want decomcracy and freedom, they have to fight for it. freedom given on platter is usually not appreciated.
Bring Saddam back and give Mahdi army what it deserves.
After Iraq, no one in his right mind will support muslim people against their dictators in any part of the world ever. Not just people of Iraq but whole muslim world has lost that hope forever.
Very comprehensive analysis. So, Muslims were right all along, the war is against Islam. Poor Muslims...what are they going to do now? No one in the world will help them....tsk tsk tsk
dude read today's reports on 9/11 commission. even the so called enemy of muslims Ashcroft did not have tracking islamic terrorists on his agenda. Forget waging a war on Islam...he did not even consider your bad apples worth his attention before 9/11. Thank your warriors for bringing this on to you.

Well, all it shows is that John *Muslim hater Ashcroft is an incompetent moron. However, that still leaves us with the tiny matter that Bush Administration wanted to attack Iraq before 9/11 happened. And last I checked, Iraq was still a muslim country then (as it is now). All 9/11 did was allow John Muslim hater Ashcroft to also target muslims in the US, just as his buddies in the Pentagon were planning to target muslims outside the US pre-9/11.
Does the Muslim whine grow tiresome to anyone else? How about we flip it around and say Islam is trying to destroy the west.
-note-
The majority of Muslims have not complained about how they are being "oppressed" and "attacked" but those that do carry on and on. Even one whiney brat can get on your nerves.

Actually, I will be the first to admit that there are many muslims who are out to kill as many people in the west as they can. Good thing is that they are but a tiny minority amongst the one billion plus who call themselves muslims.
That does not mean "Islam is trying to destroy the west".
It means there are many muslims who are out to kill as many people in the west as they can.
See the difference?
Last I checked, no muslim country has attacked US. Ever.
When you take a moron and say that he represents the whole of Islam, it becomes a joke. When you take a moron and make him your President then you have bigger problems.
Thanks to current US policies, the percentage of people in the muslim world who are out to kill westerners is increasing at a phenomenal pace.
Channji, I was not aware that they were my warriors, anway, bring this on to us? What is this? If the war is not against Islam and is aginst the terrorists…please show me a comprehensive plan that US and UK has to deal with N.Korea and Ireland. :silence: that’s what I thorught. If Bush administration has made any real effort to reduce or eliminate terrorism they would have cut of the finance supply(See Saudi Arabia) to these cells all over the world. However, Saudi is immune to that kind of thing. Democracry in midles east, why not start with Saudi and remove the goons who are ruling that country…I forgot royal family has close ties with Bush family.
