Sad, but most brainwashed Americans would probably believe the above statement.

Yeah, but one is free to refer to the Liberation Forces as Terrorists? Why would they bomb a hospital anyway? Did you know that the mutilated bodies of the Coalition forces were found in a Hospital yesterday where the terrorists have taken shelter in. Not just in the hospitals, but also inside the mosques. I say eliminate them all, with the most furious power at our disposal.
And in Schools NYAhmadi.
Thats exactly what Saddam wants them to do, i.e strike hospitals, mosques, schools, civilian areas.
Iraq maternity hospital ‘bombed’
look at what these SOB’s do
Iraq maternity hospital ‘bombed’
The US is investigating claims of mass deaths in Hilla
The US military is investigating reports that coalition aircraft have attacked a Red Crescent maternity hospital in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
Hospital sources and witnesses quoted by Reuters news agency said their were a number of casualties and some damage at the hospital.
Meanwhile, doctors at a hospital in central Iraq have told the BBC they have dealt with more than 250 fatalities since the start of the US-led war.
Officials at the Saddam Hussein Hospital in Nasariya said all of the deaths were the result of American bombing - and most were civilians.
Air raids
The BBC’s Rageh Omaar, who is in Baghdad, said the attack on the hospital is said to have happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Red Crescent official Abdel-Hameed Salim told Reuters: “There were air raids. Some 25 people who work and live in the area were wounded. Three of our Red Crescent staff were also wounded.”
In a statement, US Central Command said: “US Central Command is looking into an allegation that coalition aircraft bombed a Red Crescent maternity hospital in Baghdad, Iraq.”
It added: “Coalition forces target only legitimate military targets and go to great lengths to minimise civilian casualties and damage to civilian facilities.”
There has been no official Iraqi statement on the reported incident.
Iraqi authorities said on Wednesday that at least 55 civilians had been killed by coalition forces in attacks on Baghdad and other cities in the past 24 hours.
At least 33 of the victims are reported to have died when US helicopter gunships strafed a residential neighbourhood in the city of Hilla on Tuesday.
Aid agencies say they are increasingly worried about the mounting number of civilian victims of the war.
Hospital overwhelmed
The doctors at Saddam Hussein Hospital said many homes and schools, which were near military targets in the city, had been hit.
They said they had treated more than 1000 injuries.
On Tuesday, officials from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) - accompanied by Iraqi colleagues - visited a hospital in Hilla, about 100 kilometres (70 miles) south of Baghdad.
ICRC spokeswoman Nada Doumani said the team “witnessed a vehicle transporting bodies of men, women and children to the hospital and in the hospital they saw also some 300 injured people and it was very clear that this was the result of heavy fighting and bombings”.
The Red Cross said the hospital was completely unable to cope.
Propaganda war
BBC defence analyst Stephen Dalziel says the US-led forces have gone out of their way to try to show that this war is against the regime of Saddam Hussein, not the Iraqi people.
He says inevitably, though, there have been civilian casualties and in a war being fought under the constant gaze of television cameras, both sides have realised how crucial the propaganda war is.
The United States has admitted shooting dead seven women and children after their vehicle failed to stop at a checkpoint in Najaf on Monday, but said “the climate established by the Iraqi regime” had contributed to the incident.
The human rights organisation, Amnesty International has called on Washington to conduct an independent investigation into the Najaf killings.

And what do you think of US soldiers murdering women and children in cold blood? Do you support the US militray position that it was "absolutely the right thing" to do?
There is something very basic that people like NYA and UTD forget. Who wgaed this war on Iraq? Soldiers die in war, quit yoyur bellyaching over where the bodies of the soldiers were found. At one side you claim that Saddam is a Nazi, brutal man, then you are surprised with the tactics his army uses.
US has no right to be in Iraq, Iraqi army is using whatever means necessary to fight against a superior enemy. Besides, why should we believe the reports coming out of CNN, MSNBC and FOX news.
NYA on a personal note, just imagine one of your family member killed by the so called brave marines. I am sure you will use the same analogy, It is called "preventive measures to reduce future terrorism".
The coalition terrorists will indeed pay for this, and for every civilian life lost.

Right then.
So any word on US plans to assist this maternity hospital in coping with the destruction the US apparently inflicted on it? Is killing pregnant mothers and their children all part of the pre-emptive strategy against future terrorists?
how painful would it be for a mother to see her children’s head offs?

whatever happened to American intelligence that led to bombing of Saddam's palace? Looks like they also bomb their own "intelligence" squad. BTW, did you know that coalition forces also took girl's school as base/camp?
God almighty, only the most heartless person can make excuse fo such slaughter carried out by the American military?
Indeed this is very sad.
Iraqi hospital destroyed by US](http://www.msn.co.uk/news/breakingnews05/) MSN news 02 Apr 03
By Samia Nakhoul BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. missiles have struck a Red Crescent maternity hospital in Baghdad and other civilian buildings, killing several people and wounding at least 25, hospital sources and witnesses say. The attacks, which occurred at 9:30 a.m. (7:30 a.m. British time) on Wednesday, caught motorists who had ventured out during a lull in the bombing. This correspondent saw at least five burned-out and twisted cars halted in the middle of the road. Witnesses said the drivers burned to death inside. U.S. planes pounded central Baghdad, striking at least three times a compound where President Saddam Hussein’s son Qusay has his headquarters and sending thick smoke into the sky. Qusay commands the Republican Guard. Residents and doctors said U.S. planes raided the Mansour area, firing at least three missiles.
The hospital, the nearby Baghdad trade centre complex and offices housing the Pharmacist and Teachers’ Unions were hit, they said. “There were air raids. Some 25 people who work and live in the area were wounded. Three of our Red Crescent staff were also wounded. We brought all the wounded in our ambulances to two hospitals,” Red Crescent official Abdel-Hameed Salim told Reuters at Baghdad’s al-Iskan hospital. The facade of the two-floor “Red Crescent Maternity Hospital”, its drug store and the waiting room were damaged. The false ceiling in the room collapsed and the floor was littered with glass shards, debris and blood of the wounded. Some women who were at the hospital to have their babies were spared and moved out to other hospitals, doctors said. "The ceiling fell on us. Glass and debris cut through many patients and staff members.
Most of the patients here were pregnant women but they were taken to other hospitals," Dr Mohammad Ibrahim told reporters. Doctors said although the hospital was for maternity, it also served as a vaccination and medical centre for the Red Crescent Society and provided treatment and care for patients. He said a total of 10 patients and staff were injured at the hospital. Salim said among the Red Crescent casualties was doctor Mohammad Fadel, who was preparing for a normally hectic day in war times. Also injured was a patient who had come to see a doctor. He was hit and his leg had to be amputated. “We had a lot of medical supplies for rescue operations and we don’t know if they were destroyed or not,” Salim added. U.S. military spokesman Brigadier General Vincent Brooks told reporters in Qatar: “I am not aware of the Red Crescent report, so I cannot address it.”
Have they not learned from the incidents in Afghanistan?
**The U.N. children’s fund UNICEF (news - web sites) expressed concern on Wednesday that Iraqi children might mistake yellow food packets being handed out by U.S.-led forces with small bombs with identical coloring. **
Perhaps we ought to get the facts right. I heard an interview with the representative of the Red Crescent. This is what he said regarding the Maternity Hospital:
Red Cross: Hospital and Red Crescent office damaged
No casualties; patients had been transferred
Wednesday, April 2, 2003 Posted: 12:30 PM EST (1730 GMT)
No one was hurt when coalition bombing damaged this Baghdad maternity hospital, the Red Cross says.
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) – Coalition bombing Wednesday damaged a maternity hospital and the offices of the Iraqi Red Crescent, but caused no casualties, a spokesman for the International Committee of the Red Cross said.
After hearing explosions in Baghdad during the morning, the ICRC sent a team to investigate what had been hit, ICRC spokesman Roland Huguenin-Benjamin said.
The team determined that the blast had occurred across the street from the buildings – windows were shattered, ceilings had fallen in and cars parked in front of the buildings were damaged, he said.
Patients had been discharged from the maternity hospital or transferred to other hospitals before the beginning of the war because the area was considered to be insecure, he said, and the Red Crescent office was also unoccupied at the time of the bombing.
“It was not a direct hit and, mercifully, there were no staff members indoors when it happened, so there are no casualties,” he said.
That was not the case Tuesday, when Huguenin-Benjamin said he visited a hospital about 60 miles south of Baghdad where doctors had been overwhelmed with civilian casualties.
“There were lots and lots of dead bodies that were practically dismembered by the violence of the explosion they had been subjected to,” he said. “This was a horrific sight.”
In a written statement, U.S. Central Command said it was looking into the report, but had not confirmed it. “Coalition forces target only legitimate military targets and go to great lengths to minimize civilian casualties and damage to civilian facilities,” the statement said.
I checked the ICRC website directly, and they have not yet commented on the incident.
