Explosion hits Iraq’s parliament Baghdad’s Green Zone is supposed to be the most secure area in Iraq
A suicide bomber has struck Iraq’s parliament building in the heavily fortified Green Zone of Baghdad, Iraqi security said, killing at least two people and wounding at least 13 others.
Thursday’s blast took place in a cafeteria while several ministers were eating lunch, said Mohammed Abu Bakr, who heads the media department at the parliament.
Muhammad Awadh, a member of parliament from the mainly Sunni National Dialogue Front, was killed in the blast.
Taha al-Lihaibi, Salman al-Jumaili, Hahim al-Ta’i and two other MPs were injured from the Iraqi Accord Front, another member of parliament said.
Iraqi media have reported that another MP - possibly a Kurd - was also killed in the attack although this has not been officially confirmed.
“We were having a meeting when suddenly we heard a huge blast inside the restaurant. I saw a lot MPs wounded and bleeding,” Fouad al-Massoum, leader of the Kurdish parliamentary bloc, said.
Al Jazeera has learnt that three female MPs from Muqtada al-Sadr’s parliamentary list were wounded in the explosion, along with three members of the United Iraq Alliance, the main Shia bloc in the parliament.
The US military said that a total of up to eight people were killed in the attack. …
Obviously Americans are no match for the suicide bombers. Is it now time for the Americans to put their tail between their legs and run… run for and with their lives?
...and women and children and sunnis and shias and kurds and elected officials and innocent bystanders. It's not the Americans that are no match for the suicide bombers, it's the Muslim societies that they are attacking.
Who was incharge of security.. Turns out a 'private' security firm. No names. just "private security"..(gotta love the controlled media) which also confiscated cameras being used by journalists to photograph the aftermath.
Can we review the security procedures and find out how a truck driven by a supposed suicide bomber could make it past the tight security in the Green Zone? Is no one interested in these questions or is everyone just happy declaring it yet another 'suicide' bomber and chalking one for the 'insurgency' or AlQayda?
^ok....... so what does any of that have to do with Iraqis working toward a government instead of blowing each other up? IF there is an al queda presence in Iraq, it's not the major force behind the violence.

Let's review how this implied American conspiracy in ANY way WHATSOEVER favors the US?

Iraqis are fighting for their freedom from America, so the Americans kill, rape and torture them on mass scale (Abu-Ghraib) and blame it on Al-Qaida and other such mythical organisations. (A country that had only one rebel group (Al-Ansar) prior to the invasion , now has hundereds??).
I've always wondered how many other Abu-Ghraibs are there in Iraq. I guess, we'll have to wait for the Americans to announce it for you to be convinced.
What group of people control the world Seminole? Who is Americas master? If you would have study childrens text books from Arabic counties a little more you would know.
here’s some homework.. find the name of the ‘private security’ company. Trace it’s owners and their affiliations. Come back and let all of us know what you found.

if they are fighting for freedom why the hell they are blowing up civilians.why sunnis are killing shias and shias are killing sunnis. ?????

Ok, w/o me doing all this time consuming research, it appears you have. Let's just assume it's a Jewish company because they are the other entity that all conspiracy theories lead to. What is their benefit?
Speaking of Jewish conspiracies, I have now concrete evidence that Israel is in fact completely controlled by Jews!!!!
More to the point, this attack is sad because it really shows how weak all factions (Sunni, Shia and Kurd) are in the Iraqi government. When a country's parliament's meeting is considered to be a show of defiance... thatis a really low point.
Iraq is irreparably screwed up. No one else should now die for it other than Iraqis themselves and possibly any neighbouring countries' soldiers... just pull out and let them sort out their own civil war that sucks in Iran and the neighbouring Arab countries.
^^ Millions could die in an all out civil war. Are you prepared to absolve the US if that happens? It could make Rwanda look like Spring Break. Never mind the fact that it would undoubtedly become a divided nation. Refugees would flood to Shia/Sunni areas, and the battle for Baghdad could last for a decade. The entire country could become a vacuum, sucking the life out of the region. If you think that Iraq has hit bottom, you have no imagination.
