Iraq: Sadr dumped by Grand Ayatollah Kazem Haeri

Seems like Sadr is going to be a lonely man.

Militarily most of his militia has been destroyed.

Financially he is in bad shape because he can no longer siphoned off money from Karbala and Najaf shrines.

47 percent would vote for Allawi and
46 percent would vote for Sadr.

I think this is the new math people have been talking about. The population of Iraq has actually increased by 44% over the last few years so the total voting percentage is now 144% .

No!

The article (link provided) doesn't say it was a 3 way race. People were not asked about their preference if Hakim AND Alawi AND Sadr were competing. Instead people were asked if they'd vote for candidate A in the election or not.

Pleaset get out of Bush-vs.-Kerry stats.

In spite of bombing the hell out of Baghdad and other major cities, its good to know that population of Iraq actually increased. I guess they are producing more freedom fighters.

And sadr is important why? Does it in anyway excuse the brutality the war has subjected on millions of people in Iraq. And wasn't this guy supposed to be easy to snuff out?

My my a military machine the size of the US has to rely on someone saying someone is sidelined and then thats news how?
