Is there much difference in the amount of power they hold? Does one have more support from their people than the other?
Well, as long as US continues to control the armed forces and the oil, who cares?
Afghanistan isn't that important to the US, that's why all the soveirgnty was handed back to them... but Iraqis only get the 'soveirgnty' title.
Real Iraqi soveirgnty would mean giving the oil fields back to the Iraqi people. I don't think any right minded invading nation would give up the oil fields after wasting $225 billion in one year alone.
