hmmm. this is the first time I v come across this. i v been reading into sufiism but i didnt know this was allowed. Although I dont have any (Islamic) reference for it I dont believe this form of zikr is wrong. I dont know about filming it though and I disgagree with that. :)
In my opinion, zikar of Allah should be done by praying (whether namaz or just by praying - dua). Balance is encouraged in Islam, I think this is a bit too much - kind of like some people are extra sorrow for the death of Hazrat Imam Hassan and Husaan. Allah knows best.
