TEHRAN, Iran – Scores of Iranian students have attacked the Saudi Arabian embassy with firebombs to protest the Gulf country’s role in cracking down on anti-government protesters in Bahrain.
The official IRNA news agency says protesters tried to attach a flag of the Lebanese group Hezbollah to the embassy’s gate Monday, but were prevented by police. Protesters chanted slogans against Saudi and Bahraini leaders, both followers of Sunni Islam.
Iran, predominantly Shiite Muslim, has denounced the deployment of a Saudi-led force to help prop up Bahrain’s monarchy. A government crackdown against Bahrain’s Shiite-led protests has killed at least 27 people. Authorities say they see Iran’s influence among the opposition, though there are no visible links.

Does this mean that Pakistani Islamists will start chanting Iran murdabad?

The sad part is that your sentiments are unfortunately shared by a number of keyboard jihadis on other extremist Islamic forums who want the "mujahideen" to strike Iran for killing Sunnis in Bahrain.

no not at all butt this stupid acts of Iran can result in dire consquences for him and whole of the UMMAH out of 10 muslims 9 are sunnis 1 is shia so there fore nobody will acceopt that a shia gets hold of KABA therefore Saudi Arabia can hit back on Iran which can result all Muslim world siding with Saudi Arabia and will have to declare war against IRAN

If Iran could repel Saddam's forces then they could easily have wiped out the Talibs.

And I'm not even a fan of Iran to begin with but the Taliban are a far worse entity that no one can coexist with.

Actually I am a firm supporter of the current Iranian stance. Ahmedinajad is perhaps not the most gifted Muslim politician but he has a strong character and the guts to stand up for what he believes. I respect that, he speaks his mind and he tries to do the best for his country not like other Politicians I have known well... sadly I have never met the chap though I would love to as he seems much better than many two faced Politicians I have met before.

As for the House of Saud I have very little respect for the Saudi Royals, though I would not slander the country itself... but Iran did not demolish Masjids, Saudi troops did in Bahrain so you can understand the hatred in the Iranians.

I think the attack on the Saudi embassy will add more fuel to the fire but Iran should be able to handle any political backlash. :)

As for the Iranians opposing the Taliban from what I know the Taliban were well armed and funded by both Pakistan and America, but the Iranians are self relient and have just as much determination and crucially a much greater expertise at a local level, unlike the Americans the Iranians have a lot of Afghans living in Iran that would know the area well and if it came to a fight I would say that Iran could have comfortably beaten the Taliban had it been a fair fight... offcourse in modern wars this is seldom the case and other countries are quick to jump in and take sides which invariably tipps the odds... still in a match up Iran would have pretty much wiped out the Talibs.
