Iranian President

Re: Iranian President

Same could very well be said of your prez…It’s only because he’s the prez of the most powerful nation in the world otherwise guys like him wouldn’t be apt enough to serve as a lowly clerk in any self respecting organization…

And only people without lack of culture, manners, decency and class would resort to humiliating a guest such as this Bollinger guy…It was pure graciousness on the part of Ahmedinejad not to stoop to the level of his ill mannered, buffoon of a ‘host’ and kept his dignity, posture and manners…

Inviting a guest speaker and then humiliating him by your own personal opinions about him…Crass and lowly…And he’s the chancellor of a renowned American institution…

Bet most of his students turn out like these guys who believe that 'Bollinger got ‘im good’…

Re: Iranian President

for the wiser use of leftist political negotiation and paying back in the same coin, if Muslim civilians wont hold their leaders accountable; & if these leaders wont be supported at the right times, in the world, then there is more chance allowed for internal riff raff that can badly threaten the survival of nationhood and the sovereignty of a state.

in case of Iranian President, what is witnessed is how narrow minded, despicably uneducated somebody like the provost of an ivy league can be in a host country!
no manners on many fronts, as always. what is fabricated as political, shows through as a duress of personal sanity because of racism, and conflict of interests as well as very very petty personal prejudgements. as an academic, it is a shame for the provost of Columbia univ., who first invited and then insulted the Iranian Presidency.
if the same happens - or even worse - rightfully to bush when he ever dares visit Iran, that will set these self centered right wing politicians right, they will stew in their own thick skins and condemned by their own ill mannered behaviors.

Re: Iranian President

arai yaar ..i dont want to indulge in shia sunni debate...:)

i think...aqeel went to muavia(ra) in last times..of ali(ra) caliphate..

ummah was divided..abdullah ibne umar(ra) like personality was neutral..tilting towards ali(ra) but not helped him....

there was unfortunately split over this matter....

latter..hassan(ra) and abdullah ibne abbas(ra) ...have soft corners towards ummayyad for ummah betterment....thats why hassan (ra) made peace agreemnet with muavia(ra)...

in ummayad ...muavia(ra)..yazeed were hard liners..but umar bin abdul aziz was great lover of ahle bait....

marvan..like people of ummayads ..made the situation worse...

Re: Iranian President

Muhammad bin hanfia..tried its level best to stop hussain(ra) which was his brother ..not to go to Kufa..due to nature of kufis..but he failed..even Ibne abbas (ra) tried to stop him....

latter Muhammad bin hanfia also have soft corner towards ummayds ...also towards muavia(ra) in his era ..though he was one of the greatest commander of safain war ....

Re: Iranian President

Ahmedinejad is trying to use the same scare tactics on his country as Bush is using on America. Both of them end up looking ridiculous, although Ahmedinejad speaks better English than Bush.
