mercenary2k, I dont agree with most of what you have to say except that Israel has a right to exist and so does Palestine. Your biased approach to this issue is not going to convince any one here. Constant apologizing for brutal behavior of israelis towards palestanians is quite evident and your spin lacks the effort to convince us otherwise.

So you do agree that Israeli killing machine needs to be stopped. You cannot blame everything on the palestanians.... Israel needs to return the land (may I remind you of some UN resolutions). Constant killing of innocents including children in the guise of "target killings" needs to be stopped.

I thought that you said that one should take responsibility of his actions, then why are you coming up with lame excuses of "them using women and children". How come most of the times its the innocnets who are killed and not the culprits? Is Israeli intelligence so faulty that they cannot find out where the culprits are at the time of attack? Any decent human being will think twice before ordering the strike without concrete proof of intended "targets" being there.
Lets keep this thread about Israel and Jews. Iraq and insurgency is whole other topic. I suggest you check out the actual victims of Faluja and then make up your mind about the insurgency at least in that area.

Egypt had a responsible leader in Sadat, he made peace with Israel and Israel gave up the Sinai...
Israel wanted to make peace with Syria and was willing to give up the Golan heights and lake tiberius where Israel gets 30% of its Fresh water supply
But Hamas terrorists blew up buses and Israeli priorities shifted

It does not matter what happened in the war. According to the UN resolution, Israel has to return the land...if they dont (which they have not) they are ic clear violation of such resolutions. It was same argument used by the so called coailition in both wars against Iraq.

Hamas is a Gaza-based Palestinian group.

Golan Heights was used by Syria to launch attacks against Israel;
Israel captured it in 1967 and was willing to give it up for peace with Syria
why should Israel give up the strategic golan heights if it won't get anything in return?

Hamas is supported by Syria
Syria and Israel almost had a peace deal in place in 1995, in which Israel will withdraw from the Golan Heights and in which Syria will recognize Israel's right to exist.
At that time there was a Labor government in place in Israel
Hamas launched a couple of suicide bombings in Israel
And since Hamas is controlled by Syrian Intelligence, and Syrian Intelligence is a rogue agency which acts on its own like the Rafik Hariri assassination
Israel then shifted priorities to deal with Hamas
