I read an Iranian’s blog on a bi-weekly basis who claims himself to be an ‘Iranian for Peace’.
For the past few weeks he goes on and on about comparing Saudi Arabia & Iran in many different ways. And he considers that if anyone in the world needs liberation, Saudi women would top the list. With other oddities of the Saudi government and society, what he considers the biggest hypocrisy is their relationship to US. Today he came to the conclusion that the reason why US would never liberate Saudi Women is because American loves the Oil more than their democratic punditry. And that American love for oil is only second to their love for being safe on the home ground.
I was surprised that he would consider Oil the main reason, as he cited other serious concerns like Saudi Arabia having the two most sacred cities of the Muslim world.
