Tehran, Iran, Dec. 26 – Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who recently called for the destruction of Israel and termed the Holocaust a “myth” has asked for a committee to be set up to prove that the massacre of some six million Jews in Nazi Germany never took place.
The Fars news agency, which is close to the office of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that Ahmadinejad had proposed the idea after his comments calling for Israel to be moved to European countries such as Germany and Austria drew international outrage and United Nations Security Council condemnation.
Mohammad-Ali Ramin, who heads the state-run body Society for Defending the Rights of Muslim Minorities in the West, told Fars that Ahmadinejad wanted European governments to permit Western scholars to publish their research on the Holocaust.
Ahmadinejad wanted the committee to clarify the real extent of the Holocaust, according to Ramin, who added that the radical President had the support of hard-liners loyal to the Supreme Leader.
Senior officials inside the clerical establishment including Khamenei himself have backed Ahmadinejad’s threatening remarks against the Jewish state.

Ok looks like we have commitee that will investigate the European made problem called the Holocaust , Iran has kindly offered to let european and other scholars discuss their works on this subject will be interesting development in future.**

Whether the Holocaust happened or not, and my view is that it did in fact occur, it remains that the European and American countries controlling the UN in the late 40s had no moral justification for assuaging their guilt by inflicting an alien nation in the middle of an Arab land.
Israel's creating was a reflection of the raw racism and low regard in which arabs were viewed by white powers in 1948. It was all too easy to plant an island of white "civilised" Jews amongst "uncivilised" arabs.

He has made a very sensible suggestion, and I think the world should take him up on it. But that is unlikely as the Jews will never allow an open and thorough examination in front of the whole world of what really happened between 1939 and 1945 to the Jews, and the many other groups.

For your information they have reduced the 6 million jews death figure to first 2.8 milion and then to something like 1.6 million (which is the current figure) and now they r considering it to make it 70 thousand only... They write those figures on the holocaust "yadgaar" (i don't wot to translate it into) and update it whenever criticism grow a little too much..
More over Gernmay population at that time was 40 million so if 6 million died and 4 million fled germany after WWII then this means there were 10 million or 25% population was jew in germany... which was even a bigger lie than the Bush's lies...
Anyway there is a jew converted muslim lady who wrote abt it in detail and also other atrocities of jews... but as usual her books are hard to find... i will like to read it too ..

such sensationalism may make Ahmadinejad popular among the blindly jew-hating idiots (who admittedly do seem to make up a not so tiny chunk of the muslim majority nations), but is not going to help the palestinians in any way.

Iran should really stop obsessing over the holocaust. It's not really the biggest issue Iran currently faces. Ahmadinejad may well be a CIA agent by how he is making Iran look so unstable.

Uhm, I believe I said share the land, no one said that the Palestinians did not have a right to their own country, even though "Palestine" is a modern concoction, not an ancient one.
Sharing was the solution of the UN in 1948. It is compromise that solves problems. Unless you chose to go to war, which the Arabs have done 3 times, and have had thier asses roundly kicked by the crafty Israelis.
This Hick from Iran is proving the point of the Zionists quite well. Anti-Semitism is alive and well, and Jews are not safe except in a homeland. And even then there is some yahoo who will always be yelling "push them into the sea".
Israel is a tiny speck of arab lands. When the Israelis moved there it was barren desert. There are more Muslims in Karachi than Jews in the entire world (fact). Let them have their peace and do not stubbornly ignore the real problems of the arab world while hyperfocusing on a small spit of land with no oil.
