Re: Iran threatens cross-border attacks into Pakistan against terrorists
Lets not blow this out of proportion. Pakistan has previously cooperated with Iran on Jundullah and i believe there was an agreement reached to hand them over the last time a few of them were arrested. Same should be done now as well.
Timing of this bombing is very sensitive because it's shortly after Iran and Pakistan had inked the Oil Pipeline deal. So both Iran and Pakistan need to be wary of the common enemy and form a singular strategy to monitor the border for ALL suspecious persons/groups, and work together to eliminate any elements that work to cause mischief in both Pakistan and Iran. Be they local, or outsiders.
It would be foolish for Iran to issue Pakistan any ultimatums, just as it will be foolish for Pakistan to misinterpret what Iran is saying, which is that they want Jundullah suspects tracked and arrested because they're suspected.
The article as originally posted contained the phrase "Tehran has warned Islamabad that it has the power and military means to trace and hunt down terrorist groups in Pakistan if such activity is not stopped by Pakistan."
May be they took it out because this sentence was "deliberate misinformation".
I also confirm that I read the mentioned sentence in Dawn. The more I read this newspaper, the more I get the feeling it has been overtaken by indians. Really.
Dawn is the most credible newspaper in Pak. As soon as they realized that the authenticity of that statement is questionable, they removed it.
Dawn is far better than Talibani papers like Jang, which have Taliban sympathizers like Ansar Abbasi as their leading investigator journalasts.
But yes, Taliban sympathizers hate papers like Dawn.
Why is it that every other terrorist group has the roots in Pakistan ? The authorities are always in a denial mode. Now its the turn of Iran, people spitting venom against Islamic country Iran and nobody is justifying the outrage of Iran against the terrorist group active in their country. When will the country Pakistan wake up. Do we think that whole world is foolish. Remember these tactcs will isolate Pakistan, which we have started realising. All my comments will be resented, I know, but we should always remain on the side of justice and truth if we call ourselves Muslim.

This is wrong.
Dawn USED TO BE one of the most respectful newspapers, not any more!
It is anything but a patriotic newspaper. It is all about praising india and indian achievements. It is so sad to see a newspaper founded by Quaid himself is being overtaken by indian sympathisers.
Jang might have some clowns such as Hamid Mir, but the owners are patriotic Pakistanis and it does try to be balanced.
BTW, even today Dawn has to appologize for a poor sensationalization attempt. It first reported that 500 cadets were kidnapped, and now as it turned out the number was far bigger than reality!
Re: Iran threatens cross-border attacks into Pakistan against terrorists
I am not surprised that a person who ignores a paper like Jang allowing Taliban sympathizers like Ansar Abbasi, is calling a paper "unpatriotic" only because a few times only because this paper praised Indian progress.
What a yard stick narrow-minded people like you use to determine people's patriotism!
BTW, most of Dawn's articles are on the real threat being faced by Pakistan, Taliban kharijis. They don't talk about Indians as such.
If question arises to compare patriotism of Jang and Dawn then Jang will clearly be unpatriotic for siding with the biggest threat Pakistan is facing today, the Taliban anti-Islam anti-Pakistan kharijis.
** I remember a TV quiz show in Pakistan where I learned that Iran had the world's largest standing army. ** (More than China?? I don't know). But at any rate, DO NOT underestimate Iran's military.
And if there is anything we have "learned" in the last decade, it is that wars are never won and never ended.
Good TV quiz show. You should watch more of these shows. This would give you a proper perspective on the world. What next. Which is the richest country in the world --- Pakistan..
Jokes apart. This particular post gives me an idea from where some of the posters get their information.
