Zardari may or may not be shia. What we know is that he IS corrupt. We should not expect people like him to do any good for the country. If politicians like him really were interested in improving Pakistan then there had lot more opportunities besides exploiting their supposed co-religionists in other countries.

He’s been gone for a couple of months now and there still isn’t much evidence of any major corruption scandals under his tenure as President. Given the political stability that his rule brought… he was far from the worst leader Pakistan has ever had.
