On the plus side, this means it should be easier to get Iranian gas.

On the negative side, being in a diplomatically stronger position than it has been in the past will give Iran a better place to start from in any negotiation. Honestly, if Iran-West ties are normalized, then it would have been useful having Zardari still around as President - having a Shia face to present for Pakistan would be beneficial in dealing with Iran.

Some people say that Zardari was not a Shia, maybe BB was due to her mother.
