Typical crap of comparing a basket case arrabob monarchy in the same sentence with Pakistan
[/quote]

the article mentions all three in the same sentence, so theres not much i can do about that really.

Hello! Saudi is a collection of pipsqueek desert nomads with no culture and no history. Take Hurmain Sharifain (2 buildings) and you wont't find anything compared to Shahi mosque (of Lahore), or Taj Mahal, or Shahi Forts. Nothing compared to Moinjodaro or Taxila. Financially they may seem to be giants but the figures tell the real story. Their budget hovers around $60 billion a year. Less than 5 time the current Pakistani budget. The current wealth had only made a difference since 1970's (just 30 years).

To clarify my point, if it was a choice b/w to screw over saudi or pak, im bettin on pak. saudi have the upper hand due depedency on thier oil. i'm talking about the near future, who knows whats happening 50 yrs down the line.

No need to bring mossad in the picture when we have namak-harams giving confessions on TV. We also have anarchist newsmen ready to put pictures of Saudi princes visiting our nuclear facilities. We need to clean our house before pointing fingers at Mossad.

i am talking about iran. mossad cud careless about pak.

The way you pump up Pakistan and slaughter everyone else, commands a medal in itself. If you believe Pakistan to be such a world player and economical giant, then why haven't you run for office or at least become an MP where you could influence change. Or better still, VOTE. Your ideals are nausiatingly patriotic, similiar to the Americans.

I don't see you as a member of the educated elite or one of the best in worlds entrepreneurial class. How can you then make such bold statements predicting future outcomes by the year 2050. I hope your Patriotism is not gathered from the same school as your religious outbursts.

Saudi Arabia is currently the 63rd wealthiest country according to it's GDP, with a figure of $11068.64 per person. Pakistan on the other hand, is ranked 66th in the most poorest category with 35% of it's population below the poverty line.

Additionally, Saudi's expenditure budget is $56.5 billion, including capital expenditures, whereas Pakistans expenditure budget is $14.8 billion, including capital expenditures.

Education wise Saudi ranks 86 out of the top 100 most educated with a school life expectancy of 9 years, whereas Pakistan doesn't even come into the top 100 with a school life expectancy of 3.9 years.

Where the heck you're getting your figures from baffles me.

Unfortunately, it's people like you who are sitting in Pakistan as you say you are, and painting a hunky dory rosy picture without contributing anything to it's well being, And some of us are living abroad, but still maintaining househoulds and businessess in Pakistan and contributing economically to Pakistan by giving it large Business Contracts, bringing in a heap of foreign currency, and supporting it's network around the globe. It's us who sing Pakistan's praises by actually doing something constructive for Pakistan, acting as role models in the Western World, and not just blowing hot and cold air when the mood takes us. Ring a bell?

Finally, you were right on one thing. We need to clean up our own house before pointing fingers at anyone else. So, let's get the rishwat takers and internal political disputes out of office and then we can discuss the next plan.

Can you see it happening. I don't think so?

There's a difference between the real Pakistan and the Pakistan you dream of.

Please don't embarass us Pakistanis further with your fictional outbursts!

Not that i am taking anyone’s side in this ongoing dicussion but yarr anti, I have to say that your financial numbers are

Saudi annual budget $60 billion, that is less than 5 times of
Pakistan annual budget $13 billion (OK pick $14 billion if you like)

Where is the confusion?

Antiobl

I'll make this easy for you.

60x5= 300.

Therefore, Pakistans Budget should be according to your calculations and stats, $300 billion!

This is exactly 5 times as much as Saudis.

Imagine if you ran a business. Bankrupt on the first day. You'll be giving your stock away for free at best.

well i think what anti is saying

Pak Budget = 13 billion
5 times of pak budget = 65 billion
saudi budget = 60 billion

so (saudi budget) < (5*Pak Budget)

Read again bud! Do I have to give a lesson in simple logic?

**
Their [Saudi] budget hovers around $60 billion a year. [that is] Less than 5 time the current Pakistani budget.**

$60 billion is less than (5 X $14.8 =) $74.0 billion

Why it is so hard for you to understand? Oh I see, Mullahtic idiotics have poor maths and logic skills.

Or should we blame it on the UK aloo stores again?

Pheonixdesi

I understand what you are saying.

However. Antiobl, refering to the Saudis, stated in his initial budgetary report that '........ Their budget hovers around $60 billion a year. Less than 5 time the current Pakistani budget'.

The above in any laymans term means that Pakistans budget is 5 times greater than Saudis, or Saudis budget of $60 million is 5 times less than that of Pakistans. Either way, it makes Pakistans budget greater.

I am not 'nit picking', but the context of the statement was very clear, and Antiobl still refuses to accept his statement. If he meant that Pakistans budget is 5 times less than Saudis, then just say so.

Surely it can't be that difficult?

Single digit multiples budget like that of Saudi etc. can be achieved in relatively short time.

However the real powers like Asian tigers, Europeans, or North Americans will be hard to catch for Pakistan in the next 10 to 20 years. Examples are China $250 billion on one end and US with $2400 billions on the other end.

So people who put Saudi and Pakistan in one bucket do not know that Saudis are not going to be in the same league as Pakistan.

Be proud of Pakistan's cultural, and social history, and be excited about the golden future waiting for our country.

p.s. Seems like UK aloo store residents are still struggling with simple comparative logic.

 so pak has a bigger budget, and might be a world power in half a century. we are talking a couple yrs. U turns come very easily to the US, you think paks got a chance? it’ll prolly get screwed by the next election, if u ask me. Saudi has the egde for now. badshahi mosque and beddu desert dont even come in to he picture just yet.
