Iran has announced it would launch an Islamic internet to counter the influence of the US-dominated world wide web.
‘Iran will soon create an internet that conforms to Islamic principles, to improve its communication and trade links with the world,’ Ali Aqamohammadi, head of economic affairs with the Iranian presidency, told state news agency IRNA.
Aqamohammadi said Iran’s new network will operate parallel to the world wide web and will replace it in Muslim countries in the region.
‘We can describe it as a genuinely ‘halal’ network aimed at Muslims on a ethical and moral level.’
‘The aim of this network is to increase Iran and the Farsi language’s presence in what has become the most important source of international communication,’ Aqamohammadi said.
Since when Internet become Islamic and non-Islamic...
Maybe this is how it works
All the websites, information which can pose remote threat to the ISLAMIC RULERS of muslim world would be banned, only information which is going to be available will be about blessing of Allah on the nation for sending these rulers ... plus all the information would be in Persian...any other language would be deemed non-Islamic..
Anyone caught using non-Islamic internet would be delcared Kaffir and triator and shall be prosecuted accordingly...

'brand' of Islam. What a joke son. Islam is Islam. It should not make a damn difference if somebody believes in 12 imams or reveres peers. Whatever it'll be like, it's not to promote religion, it's to protect people. Maybe a bit too much protection.

btw, just a side thought but all those that will be used to this islamic internet will have the shock of their life when the internet isn't covered up anymore in non muslim countries where they might travel to and all the temptations will be right in their face, what then?
people that are deprived of such sites will find some way to get access to them. it would be like finding gold for them when they do find ways, and when they see one of those things they are prevented in seeing they look at that person like they've never seen skin before like everything is a piece of meat exactly the way a human would be if deprived.
yes all humans are perverts to some degree but atleast we don't have restrictions put on us to such levels
