Israel will not attack, and is in no position to attack. Iran is a country that it most fears in that region. It will encourage America to attack instead which the U.S is currently resisting at least before the elections. The U.S knows that the cost of more adventurism will be very high, although the U.S is supporting some elements in Iran to cause trouble in order to appease Israel. It will try to use proxies and try to destabilise Iran from within. However before they can gear up attacks on Iran they need to gain control of Syria and through it Lebanon, because through these countries Iran can retaliate.
