one solution - unity among Muslims.
the first few lines were aimed to indicate what would be condition of the states on these parts of the world, as the hegemony of dominant world politics is directly impacting these regions of the Muslim world.

Dushwari, do you believe that sectarian differences will that easy to be bridged by the influence of outside factors?
TO give you an example, Iran [at height of turks] and laters arabs [in ww 1] were used by europeans to tie down turks so they couldn't effectively channel their strength on their western front. Did unity do anything back then?

and you know what, to discourage secratarian violence, inter marriages between Shi'te and Sunni are been given 1500 $ incentive to get married.
why did govt policies chalkd elsewhere had to bring this about?
only if all Muslims across regions and nations, know and practiced their own independent unity.
things would not have been this disheartening.
i agree that sectarian violence is an issue, but i strongly feel that it is hyped both internaly and hugely by external agents and agencies.
and that is the real challenge for Muslims to by pass and effectively check as in eliminating.

Are you sure you are not confusing netherlands for iran or pakistan? 
Though I am against violence, the divide goes deep which is hard to erase just by intermarriage. Heck, we still have ethnofascism in pakistan when intermarriages have happened..

Why do you say it's becaise of external influence? I think it's totally due to the internal propensity of muslim majority states to implode.
No muSlim state has been Able to reconcile or balance the eXpectations of islam with requirement of modern civilizastions. Those how try to force cause all kinds of violent upheavals resulting in destruction.
Only solution startS with updating and repairing islam to currency.

the whole argument of changing times is a weak argument and this is how:- times only chang when people change and in the context of religion, social life can only be as inseparable from religious as a person's body from his soul.
the various ethical core beliefs make up the basis for one's social and personal life. when, collectively religion becomes a sore, eventually the spirit dies out, especially when religion is made into a bad cover up for petty political instigations and tricks to administer internal turmoil, be it by the outside or inside agency.
that said, each person must ensure own convictions which ought to be in line with the universal truths, at lest roughly and genuinely. deep national hypocrisy oriented mentality and behaviors just wont fly in the face of national interests.
i do concur that Islamic economic system is one way to improve the power structure of the lop sided world as it is at the moment.
and before that, Muslims must unite, no matter what it takes for us all to do so.
unite against what? against own destruction as a faith-based group of people who have the potential to do well for themselves and to set a good example for others.
